OOONA, a leading provider of professional management and production tools for the media localization industry, announced today that its flagship platform, OOONA Integrated, is set to power the future global operations of The VSI Group. The tool has been further developed to meet their specific operational needs and is currently in the early deployment phase.
VSI is a leading global localization provider with 26 owned and operated studios worldwide. It has continued its strong growth in 2024 with its operational needs evolving in parallel. OOONA's technology will help provide a significant enhancement in their project management approach, enabling improved tracking for large orders and freeing up client operations resources to focus on problem-solving instead of administrative tasks. Additionally, OOONA has always been a leader in subtitling production technology, and its broad functionality will help VSI grow this business in a cost-efficient way.
OOONA Integrated combines a robust translation management system specialized in subtitling and dubbing workflows with the full suite of the company's expanding toolkit. Hosted on AWS and backed by advanced cloud technologies, it ensures scalability, stability and client data security. The platform is continuously tested and monitored, TPN Gold and ISO certified, streamlines user authentication and includes as a core component a specialized digital rights management (DRM) solution tailored to the needs of the media localization industry.
Implementing OOONA Integrated is a major step forward for VSI. It will be a significant improvement in our project management and subtitling capability. Their technology will be key in creating efficiencies, providing real-time transparency, consistency across offices and improving security, says Scott Rose, VSI Group CTO. VSI has experienced tremendous growth in recent years and our technology needs to facilitate that growth. OOOONA enables us to consolidate our global operations into a single platform. OOONA Integrated has been explicitly developed for the localization industry, and it fits well with our 35-year historic mission: to provide our clients with top-tier dubbing and subtitling.
At OOONA we pride ourselves in solving our clients' problems, so we work hard to customize our solutions to meet their exact needs, explains Maya Venturero, OOONA Integrated Product Manager. For VSI we built a global account management layer to best support their operations, eradicate repetition and automate every possible aspect of account management.
We are thrilled about our collaboration with VSI, adds Wayne Garb, OOONA co-founder and CEO. Their trust in us is a testament to the abilities of our team and a validation of the effort we have invested over the years in building a platform that simplifies processes while best supporting the creativity and precision involved in media localization work.
VSI provides language localization and media services, including lip-sync dubbing, voice-over, subtitling, translation, transcreation and more, in over 80 languages worldwide. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in London, VSI owns and operates 26 studio facilities across Europe, the US, the Middle East and Latin America, and is currently expanding in Asia. VSI works across a wide range of sectors, from broadcast, VOD, theatrical and gaming to marketing, advertising and creative. Find out more at vsi.tv.
