VALERIA, FROM THE BOOKS TO THE SCREEN

I stopped the noisy walk of my fingers on the keyboard and reread the text as I scratched my head with a pencil . This is how El sabet Benavent presents for the first time Valeria, a young writer in search of inspiration, who stars in the popular literary saga published by Penguin Random House Editorial Group that has sold 450.000 copies in Spanish.

Valeria is ready to jump from the pages of these novels to the screens around the world. Netflix has confirmed today the start of production in Madrid of this adaptation in which the author herself, El sabet Benavent, participates as a creative consultant.

Netflix has also unveiled the cast of this new original series, starred by Diana G mez (45 revoluciones, S qui n eres). She is in charge of getting into Valerias shoes, who also has her three great friends: Lola (Silma L pez, Cosas de la vida), Carmen (Paula Malia, Benvinguts a la fam lia) and Nerea (Teresa Riott, Barcelona nit destiu). Ibrahim Al Shami (El secreto de puente viejo) plays Adri n, Valerias husband, and Benjam n Alfonso (Educando a Nina) is the mysterious Victor.

Produced by Plano a Plano, this new original series that will premiere worldwide in 2020, is written by Mar a L pez Casta o alongside Aurora Graci , Almudena Oca a and Fernanda Eguiarte. Valerias team is completed by the two directors Inma Torrente and Nely Reguera.
