Viz Libero 6.0: Automatic player tracking and new user experience

Viz Libero 6.0, a major release of Vizrt's leading 3D sports analysis software, is now available.

Viz Libero 6.0 features groundbreaking extensions and enhancements with a special focus on speed-to-air and usability of the software. As a unique feature in sports analysis systems, Viz Libero allows users to automatically track players which significantly reduces the time-to-air of creating an analysis clips with player-attached graphics. Viz Libero 6.0 also comes with a completely overhauled user interface making the operator's job easier and faster. Additional tools extend the already impressive analysis capabilities of Viz Libero.

Viz Libero's automatic player tracking is the first solution to automatically track players on the pitch that accurately shows their movement without needing any special cameras installed in the stadium. By selecting one or more players, Viz Libero automatically tracks them and corrects itself if the view of a player becomes obstructed at any point. Operators can manually adjust the automatic tracking if needed.

Automatic player tracking removes the need for creating key-framed animations in post, meaning the graphic is ready to use within seconds. It can even be carried out from the broadcast center, using Viz Libero and a program feed from the venue.

New and improved analysis tools and add-ons

Virtual Presenter Tool

New analysis tools have been added to Viz Libero including:

Stopwatch - Measure the time a player runs with the ball or a team staying in ball-possession

Virtual Presenter Tool - Position the Virtual Presenter directly in Viz Libero for simpler editing and repositioning of the presenter within the analysis clip

The improved Strike Zone and Goal Zone tools let you animate the appearance of the shots and targets in the zone easily.

New user Interface and improved usabilityViz Libero 6.0 features a redesigned user interface that includes various changes for a smooth workflow and significantly reduced turn-around time. These changes include:

A new On Air mode with live telestration capabilities for touch-screens.

Multi-tool buttons group the over 30 different analysis tools within Viz Libero. Five favorite buttons can be individually configured to have direct access to more tools.

The Enhanced Timeline has been simplified and requires less space on the screen. It displays the active camera path and provides a simple overview on the camera transitions.

Various modules have been merged for smoother operation and less clicks-to-air.
