
FilmNow: third call for the catalogue of short films for students of film distribution and audiovisual in Spain Como novedad, en esta nueva edici n de FilmNow se suman a la iniciativa la Universidad Aut noma de Barcelona, la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y la Universidad de Navarra, instituciones de referencia en nuestro pa s en la impartici n y ense anza de titulaciones como Comunicaci n Audiovisual.
En un contexto internacional en el que se mueven m s de 7.000 cortometrajes en festivales y mercados, es fundamental crear proyectos que apoyen y visibilicen los trabajos de las nuevas generaciones de cineastas. Por ese motivo, la Escuela de Cinematograf a y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid (ECAM) contin a trabajando para apoyar a los cineastas del futuro y abre la inscripci n a la 3 edici n de FilmNow, el primer y nico cat logo de distribuci n de cortometrajes para estudiantes de cine y audiovisual en Espa a.
Como novedad, en esta edici n de FilmNow se suman a la iniciativa la Universidad Aut noma de Barcelona, la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y la Universidad de Navarra, instituciones de referencia en nuestro pa s en la impartici n y ense anza de titulaciones como Comunicaci n Audiovisual.
Para la ECAM era fundamental hacer crecer esta nueva edici n de FilmNow y trabajar mano a mano con las principales Universidades espa olas que imparten Comunicaci n Audiovisual. Juntos trabajaremos para visibilizar los proyectos y talento de sus alumnos, nica forma de impulsar la carrera de las nuevas generaciones de cineastas comenta Ismael Mart n, responsable de ECAM Distribuci n.
Representantes de las Universidades colaboradoras han querido destacar que este acuerdo representa un avance en el af n de fomentar la inserci n de nuestros estudiantes en la industria del audiovisual. La alianza con FilmNow posibilita que los cortometrajes que producen durante sus a os en la Facultad, y especialmente en sus Trabajos Fin de Grado, accedan a un canal de distribuci n de primer nivel que les puede dar una gran visibilidad se ala Charo S daba, Decana de la Facultad de Comunicaci n de la UNAV.
Poder colaborar en un proyecto con Universidades tan relevantes, como las que aqu se detallan y la ECAM, es la mejor prueba de confianza para afirmar que nos encontramos con un proyecto de xito que apoyar a los futuros profesionales del cine argumenta la Dra. Patricia N ez G mez, Directora del Departamento de Comunicaci n Audiovisual y Publicidad 1 de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Informaci n de la UCM.
Como en anteriores ediciones, la convocatoria de la 3 edici n de FilmNow est abierta a alumnos matriculados o titulados en escuelas de cine y universidades con titulaciones audiovisuales de todo el territorio espa ol. Los trabajos seleccionados estar n presentes en los mercados de cortometrajes m s importantes del mundo como el Short Film Corner en Cannes o Clermont Ferrand. Adem s, ECAM Distribuci n se har cargo de la inscripci n de los cortometrajes en festivales nacionales e internacionales con el objetivo de que compitan en todo el mundo.
El salto al vac o que experimentan muchos de nuestros alumnos entre la formaci n universitaria y el mundo profesional se puede evitar gracias a iniciativas como FilmNow. Muchas veces, nuestros alumnos realizan obras audiovisuales durante sus estudios universitarios de calidad si no t cnica al menos de concepto, pero estos ejercicios se quedan en las aulas, no se promocionan, no se visualizan y, s , son proyectos formativos, pero pierden su capacidad de demostrar y mostrar el talento de nuestros j venes. Para la industria, disponer de un cat logo que recoja el talento joven es fundamental para revitalizarlo destaca M Jos Recoder, Decana de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Comunicaci n de la UAB.
Un comit formado por destacados miembros de la cultura y el cine espa ol formar n parte del jurado que seleccionar los cortometrajes finalistas de esta 3 edici n. Profesionales como Guadalupe Arensburg, directora de compras de cortometrajes en Movistar+; Marina Seresesky, actriz y directora; Luis Mariano Gonz lez, director de Alcine (Festival de Cine de Alcal de Henares) y Juan Antonio Moreno, cr tico de cine y de arte, han participado en anteriores ediciones como miembros del jurado.
Requisitos y plazos de inscripci n
Podr n participar las escuelas de cine y universidades con titulaciones audiovisuales en territorio espa ol presentando cortometrajes con una duraci n m xima de 20 min. producidos a partir de enero 2016 y dentro de su actividad formativa.
Tambi n podr n presentarse alumnos matriculados o titulados en escuelas de cine y universidades con titulaciones audiovisuales, presentando una autorizaci n por escrito de la escuela o universidad correspondiente.
El plazo de inscripci n comienza el 8 de noviembre de 2017 y finaliza el 31 de enero de 2018. La inscripci n se puede realizar de forma gratuita online en la web de FilmNow o a trav s de las plataformas Festhome and Movibeta.
