Do you know someone who has made a profound difference to the AV industry over the course of their career?

If so, we want to hear from you because Inavation Awards organisers are on the hunt for contenders for the inaugural Industry Influencer Award.

With the winner to be announced at the 2020 Inavation Awards night during ISE in February, when a host of top global AV professionals will be recognised, the Industry Influencer category will celebrate an individual who has contributed a huge amount to AV.

They could have made a difference in a host of ways.

Perhaps they have pioneered a change in how the industry operates: improving safety or quality by championing standards or processes for example. Maybe they were responsible for an invention that dramatically transformed a particular technology, or even created a totally new technology that has seen widespread commercial success. Or perhaps they popularised someone else's invention.

Promoting AV to other industries and relevant project stakeholders is vitally important and our winner may be someone who has acted as a great ambassador for our industry. Or they could be instrumental in furthering the careers of others, or has encouraged inclusion and diversity in the industry.

We're looking for achievements across an individual's career, or even represented by an ongoing campaign or general approach to their work.

Anyone who works in the AV industry can be put forward for this award. If you wish to nominate someone or enter yourself for the Industry Influencer award you must provide a statement explaining how the individual in question has positively impacted the AV industry.

Industry Influencer 2020 opens for entry on September 17, 2019 and shuts on November 10, 2019. All finalists will be selected by the Inavation Awards judging panel and announced on December 10, 2019. The winner will be revealed at the Inavation Awards dinner on February 11, 2020.
