NV Studios Takes SA TV Productions global with International Distribution Deal

South African television production powerhouse NV Studios continues to rack up firsts' in the global industry, becoming the first SA company to be awarded an output deal by an Emmy Award-winning distribution company. The deal will make an output of a selection of NV Studios shows available to broadcasters, across platforms and around the world.

This distribution powerhouse, based in Los Angeles has produced and distributed TV series like the Emmy Award-winning Intervention for A&E; Kim Kardashian co-produced #Redflag; Sex Sent Me to the ER for TLC; Twisted Tales of My 9 to 5 for Investigation Discovery; Pregnant & Dating for WEtv; Showdown of the Unbeatables for Nat Geo and season 12 of Untold Stories of the ER for TLC. It also distributes programming for Discovery Communications, National Geographic, OWN, VH1, Spike, WEtv, MTV, CNBC, Live Nation, Fox, and Dick Clark Productions.

The deal will see four NV Studios shows making the leap onto the global stage: Green Warrior, a reality-based show which investigates, exposes, educates and ultimately creates a new green' wave of environmental consciousness; Xtreme Modelling, which pits glamorous fashion models against the clock and extreme outdoor elements as fight their way to a central meeting point - with the first to arrive, securing the photo shoot opportunity of a lifetime; Generation Gap, a reality competition game show where 12 mature contestants compete for a grand cash prize by testing themselves in a series of unusual challenges to see if they can bridge the divide to the younger generation and Volunteer South Africa, which gives an adventurous group of global millennials the chance to spend a month in the African bush as volunteers - and party animals, by night.
