Gomora' catch-up: Season one to screen on DStv's Mzansi WethuMzansi Wethu viewers would be able to watch DStv's most-watched sopaie, Gomora', as from 27 September.

DStvhas just announced that Mzansi Wethu (channel 163) viewers who are unable to watch Gomora on Mzansi Magic (channel 161) can now catch up with season one of the show from 27 September.

This is great news for Mzansi Wethu viewers who've been unable to watch Gomora on Mzansi Magic as their DStv package didn't permit them.

Gomora' season two continues on Mzansi Magic Season two will continue airing on Mzansi Magic from Mondays to Fridays at 19:30 and season one will air Mondays to Fridays at 19:30 on Mzansi Wethu.

The news was confirmed by entertainment commentator Phil Kgopolo Mphela on his Twitter account on Monday 30 August.

GOMORA' SEASON ONE STORYLINE Gomora viewers met hijacking mastermind Mam Sonto (Connie Chiume) who orchestrated the killing of her son-in-law Mbongeni (Themba Ndaba) in season one.

His death resulted in her slay queen daughter Thati (Katlego Danke) moving back home with her two children broke and homeless after the bank repossessed her house and cars.

Viewers also met Gladys's jailbird brother Mohato (Ernest Msibi) who worked at Gomora High School as a security guard and later got killed by Thati and her mother.

SEASON TWO: STORYLINES AND VIEWERSHIP RATINGS Melusi and Thati's son (Langa played by Siya Xaba) was killed by Melusi's wife Gladys in a fire during seson two.

Viewers wept for the talented Xaba who, according to producers, exited the show to pursue his behind-the-scenes dreams as a film director.

Gladys (Thembi Seete) hasn't told anyone that she killed Langa because she's scared of losing her husband to Thati who is having an affair with her husband.

Gladys is currently pregnant, wanted to have a third abortion and admitted to having aborted two children to her husband Melusi (Zolisa Xaluva).

Gomora was the most-watched show on DStv in the past four months (April, May, June, and July) with 1.6 million viewers in July; 1.2 million viewers in June; 1.3 million viewers in May; and 1.3 million viewers in April, according to the Broadcast Research Council of South Africa.
