(08/08/2013) Clay Paky's bright yet compact Alpha Spot HPE 700s and Alpha Wash 700s alongside its cutting edge beam shaper Alpha Profile 1500s are being used to light the pop idols of tomorrow on the Czech and Slovak Nova TV show SuperStar'.
Clay Paky's distributor, Pro JGS Light, Sound and Video, based in the Slovakian capital Bratislava, supplied the fixtures to Prague based production company Media Pro Pictures, which used them on Prague's Barandov Studio's SuperStar' production - a joint Czech and Slovak production aiming to discover the countries next big singing sensation. The show was broadcast on popular Czech TV channel, Nova TV.
In total Pro JGS supplied 40 high-speed, graphic effects-ready Alpha Profile 1500s, 20 Alpha Spot HPE 700s featuring an array of optical and graphic devices, and 20 extremely high luminous efficiency Alpha Wash 700s.
Julius Szaraz from JGS discusses: SuperStar is a very popular TV show here in Czech and the producers, Prague-based company MediaPro Pictures, wanted to ensure that they got that all important live music vibe going. MediaPro Pictures already stocks a large number of Clay Paky luminaires and for Superstars they felt they were the obvious choice.
Pro JGS is the Czech Republic's distributors of Clay Paky luminaires. Julius Szaraz comments: The client has been delighted with the outcome and very much appreciates the high quality and performance of the Clay Paky fixtures. In addition they look for high quality service and support, which JGS offers across both markets of Czech and Slovakia. Increasingly we are seeing more and more professional hire companies wanting to stock Clay Paky fixtures, primarily because more and more lighting designers are specifying them and because they are robust, compact, easy to set up and offer a raft of features that no other equivalent fixtures in their class can.
