EPL Fixtures and Results on 31 March Cardiff 1-2 Chelsea
Chelsea got out of jail to snatch a controversial victory at Cardiff in the Premier League on Sunday.
Maurizio Sarri's side came from behind to seal three points in injury time, as Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock lashed out at the match officials.
The game sparked into life on 46 minutes when Victor Camarasa volleyed home after the visitors had failed to clear their lines.
But, with away fans calling for Sarri's head, Cesar Azpilicueta headed in with his goal standing despite being blatantly offside on 85 minutes.
Last man Antonio Rudiger then got away with a yellow card after hauling down Kenneth Zohore.
And substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek powerfully headed past Neil Etheridge in the 91st to leave Sarri intact, Cardiff imperiled and Warnock spitting feathers.
Liverpool vs Tottenham 17:30
Liverpool and Tottenham meet for the game of the Premier League weekend on Sunday, as the EPL returns after the international break.
Jurgen Klopp's title-chasers start the weekend top of the table after returning to top form with back-to-back wins over Burnley and Fulham.
The Reds go into their Premier League return with a two-point lead over Manchester City, albeit with the reigning champions boasting a game in hand on their pretenders.
Tottenham have tumbled out of the title reckoning following a sorry run of form.
A 2-1 defeat at Southampton capped a miserable sequence of three defeats in four, with Spurs not having won in the league since 10 February.
Mauricio Pochettino's side now have Arsenal and Manchester United breathing down their necks and a real fight even to finish fourth come May.
EPL Table on 31 March
EPL Fixtures and Results on 30 March Manchester United 2-1 Watford
Manchester United were made to work hard by Watford for their first three points under the permanent charge of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Hornets were the better side in the opening stages, stinging the palms of David de Gea in the United goal.
But they were hit on the counter when Luke Shaw played in Marcus Rashford, who slotted home in the 28th minute.
A smart Ben Foster save four minutes later prevented Anthony Martial from making it two.
But the Frenchman wasn't to be denied on 72 minutes, forcing in from close range to put daylight between the sides.
Abdoulaye Doucoure pulled one back to create a nervy finish but United saw out injury time to keep pushing for a top three finish.
Fulham 0-2 Manchester City
Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday thanks to an easy victory in the lunchtime game at Fulham.
Bernardo Silva took just five minutes to put the reigning champions ahead, firing past Sergio Rico from the edge of the box.
City kept up the pressure and were rewarded with a second on 27 minutes.
Joe Bryan lost possession, allowing Sergio Aguero to drift through and prod high over Rico.
The keeper was on hand the other side of half time to deny Raheem Sterling a third.
Sterling then turned provider as Kyle Walker clattered the post but City had long since done enough to topple Liverpool at the summit.
Leicester 2-0 Bournemouth
Leicester eased to victory over Bournemouth in their mid-table Premier League contest at the King Power Stadium.
Wes Morgan broke the deadlock on 11 minutes with a cheeky flick to divert Ben Chilwell's effort in.
The Foxes doubled their advantage on 82 minutes when Jamie Vardy's header found the back of the net via the crossbar.
Brighton 0-1 Southampton
Brighton's relegation fears grew following a narrow loss to Premier League drop rivals Southampton at St Mary's Stadium.
The Saints took a 53rd-minute lead when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg picked out the far corner following a snappy break.
And that was all it took to leave Chris Hughton's men looking over their shoulders.
West Ham 0-2 Everton
West Ham put in a miserable performance at the London Stadium as they were comfortably beaten by improving Everton.
Kurt Zouma put the Toffees ahead in the fifth minute, heading in Gylfi Sigurdsson's corner at the far post.
It set the tone as home keeper Lukasz Fabianski was kept busy by quickfire efforts from Sigurdsson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lucas Digne.
And they had their second on 33 minutes when Bernard tapped in.
Richarlison was also only denied by the crossbar with his thumping header, but his side were home and hosed against their nonplussed hosts.
Burnley 2-0 Wolves
Burnley pulled off an EPL shock over Wolves to give their survival hopes a timely boost at Turf Moor.
The Clarets went ahead inside two minutes as Connor Coady turned Chris Wood's effort into his own net following a quick free kick.
Youngster Dwight McNeil made it two with a superb solo effort on 77 minutes to seal a vital three points in the battle to beat the drop.
Crystal Palace 2-0 Huddersfield
Huddersfield's time in the Premier League is at an end following defeat at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Palace had to wait until the 76th minute to take the lead, with Luka Milivojevic scoring from the penalty spot following a Wilfried Zaha tumble in the box.
Patrick van Aanholt soon added the second to condemn the Terriers to life back in the Championship next season.
