WD presenta SOLUCION almacenamiento in the NUBE 8 Tb bahias El nuevo My Cloud EX2 ofrece prestaciones NAS avanzadas con hasta 8 TB de capacidad para profesionales del mundo de la creatividad y usuarios profesionales.
WD, filial de Western Digital, acaba de ampliar su gama de dispositivos para la nube personal presentando el nuevo My Cloud EX2, una soluci n de almacenamiento en red (NAS) de alto rendimiento y que cuenta con dos bah as. Tanto My Cloud EX2 como My Cloud EX4 han sido dise ados para profesionales del mundo de la creatividad y usuarios profesionales (prosumers), quienes necesitan almacenar, compartir, gestionar y realizar back up de forma segura grandes cantidades de datos digitales.
Las prestaciones de gesti n de datos y seguridad ofrecen a los usuarios m ltiples formas de proteger sus archivos digitales (fotos, m sica, v deos ), ya sea con opciones de gesti n de discos en RAID 0, RAID 1; los modos JBOD y SPAN, mientras que las opciones de protecci n de datos de backup incluyen RAID 1, USB, cloud o LAN/WAN. El nuevo My Cloud EX2 viene configurado en modo RAID 1 para proteger los datos desde el principio, pero tiene la opci n de cambiar a otros modos de protecci n de datos f cilmente. Los usuarios pueden utilizar su My Cloud EX2 para centralizar y hacer backup de sus ordenadores y dispositivos con el software WD SmartWare para usuarios de PC, mientras que los usuarios de Mac pueden usar el software de backup Apple Time Machine para proteger los datos.
La l nea My Cloud EX2 ofrece varias opciones de capacidad a los usuarios, desde unidades sin discos para que los mismos usuarios configuren su propio NAS con las unidades que quieren, hasta sistemas de 4, 6 u 8 TB de capacidad. Adem s, es posible conectar discos duros USB 3.0 a trav s del puerto de expansi n USB del My Cloud EX2 para aumentar al momento, su capacidad de almacenamiento.
Las unidades My Cloud EX2 integran los discos duros WD Red para que los usuarios puedan maximizar la fiabilidad en un entorno NAS nico, operativo las 24 horas del d a, los siete d as de la semana. Los discos WD Red han sido desarrollados con la tecnolog a NASware 2.0, que mejora la eficacia del disco y protege los datos en caso de interrupci n o p rdida de energ a.
Por otro lado, la app WD My Cloud se integra con los principales servicios de nube p blica, por lo que los usuarios podr n transferir contenidos de forma sencilla entre sus cuentas de Dropbox, SkyDrive y Google Drive. Con la aplicaci n de escritorio WD My Cloud es posible navegar, controlar y compartir archivos digitales desde cualquier sitio del mundo es muy simple e intuitivo.

My Cloud EX2 incluye opciones avanzadas de servidor de datos, como un servidor de archivos integrado, un servidor FTP, un servidor de backup y un servidor de descarga P2P. Los usuarios tambi n pueden descargar y hacer funcionar apps de terceros como aMule, Icecast, Joomla!, phpBB, phpMyAdmin, Transmission, SqueezeCenter.
De igual forma, ser posible transmitir v deos y fotos a sus televisiones, reproductores multimedia, videoconsolas y otros dispositivos DLNA/UPnP a trav s del servidor Twonky 7.2, un servidor de medios DLNA 1.5 certificado, y el servidor integrado de iTunes.
