The Club Internacional de Prensa and the Asociaci n de Corresponsales de Prensa Extranjera entreg este mi rcoles, 8 de mayo, en lo Jardines de Cecilio Rodr guez en el Parque del Retiro sus Premios Internacionales de Periodismo.
Uno de los galardones de esta edici n fue para la Mostra de Cine Latinoamericano de Catalu a. Juan Ferrer, director de la Mostra, recogi este galard n que reconoce a personas, instituciones u organizaciones que potencian la imagen de Iberoam rica, a trav s de la cooperaci n institucional, cultural, cient fica, social, comercial, diplom tica, desarrollo sostenible
La entrega de este premio coincide con el 25 aniversario de la Mostra de cine latinoamericano de Catalu a, que tendr lugar en Lleida del 6 al 13 de pr ximo mes de junio.
La Mostra fue presentada como un eje importante cultural entre continentes, ya no solo el americano, sino tambi n el europeo y, los corresponsales de prensa europea han querido destacar la importancia que tiene este festival especializado en cine latinoamericano que apoya las peras primas y que muestra una cinematograf a valiente, siempre innovadora y que rompe tab es, marcando un referente importante dentro de lo que es la cinematograf a internacional y la proyecci n de Lleida hacia el exterior, gracias a un evento como es la Mostra de cine latinoamericano de Catalu a .
Juan Ferrer, quien ha sido el director de la Mostra de cine latinoamericano de Catalu a desde su inicio, quiso destacar la historia de la Mostra en estos 25 a os. La ciudad de Lleida como territorio audiovisual importante y el aporte de la Mostra a ser un festival pionero en la ciudad dentro del territorio audiovisual .
Tambi n quiso dedicar el premio a todas personas que han hecho posible la Mostra durante estos 25 a os, para reafirmar este festival durante m s de dos d cadas, pero sobre todo dedicar el certamen a la ciudad de Lleida y a las personas que han seguido apoyando y que disfrutan con el cine en esta cita anual y, por ltimo, agradecer a Lleida que haya dado este espacio dentro del calendario cultural de la ciudad y que gracias a ello seamos premiados por ser un referente.
El Club Internacional de Prensa tambi n reconoci a otros premiados como Manuel Vicent (cuya obra ha destacado por su defensa de los valores humanos), Ana Rosa Quintana (por su trayectoria profesional), Mavi Do ate (mejor corresponsal espa ola en el extranjero), Sandrine Morel (mejor corresponsal extranjera en Espa a),
Fundaci n Ram n Areces (por su apoyo al conocimiento y a la comunicaci n).
