Uzalo' review: Back to the matchbox for the Xabas Rent has proven to be a problem for the Xabas as they are now forced to go back to their matchbox' after Nonka fails to make rent.

The Xabas have once again hit a rough patch. Having just come out of jail with a suspended two-year sentence, it is expected that Nonka s money-making business is no longer doing well. It look like all the assets she has acquired will most likely dissolve, something that her family did not anticipate.

FALL FROM GRACE FOR THE XABAS On Thursday's episode (Wednesday 7 September) of SABC 1's Uzalo, the Xabas' worst fears have came true. Nonka (Thuthuka Mthembu) revealed to them that she can no longer afford to pay the rent for their magnificent mansion.

She broke the news just as they were sitting at their pool enjoying the view with their domestic helper, Betty, eaves-dropping on their conversation.

Lily (Noxolo Mathula) and Njeza (Nkanyisa Makhanya) were visibly broken after receiving the news.

Nonka also told them that they will have to move out on the same day with the Xabas starting to pack. Njeza however did not bother helping

LILY WORKING, BUT CAN'T HELP? Both Njeza and Lily are working, but it seems they cannot afford their house. MaDongwe (Zama Magubane) tried to get them to chip in and help secure their luxury home, but, as expected, Lily blatantly told her she cannot afford the house.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH NONKA? Nonka is still battling her own demons after Kwanda's scandals put her in jail. She has since been handed a two-year suspended sentence, but her mental health seems to be taking a turn for the worst.

Nonka has never been lucky when it comes to matters of the heart, but this time, it actually seemed as if she had hit the jackpot.

Kwanda was doing everything right (well, sort of) until he couldn't pretend anymore.

If the guy is not bad news, he dies. Something bad always happens and Nonka is starting to question herself. Is she cursed? Why does she always get her heart broken? And most importantly, is there something wrong with HER?
