ACCESS NetFront Browser NX Selected by JVC KENWOOD for Its Latest In-Vehicle Device

ACCESS CO., LTD, NetFront Browser NX has been selected by JVC KENWOOD Corporation for its custom in-vehicle device being supplied to car manufacturers for use as in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.

The JVC KENWOOD in-vehicle device provides high-resolution audio and Internet browsing capabilities as well as car navigation functionality. JVC KENWOOD is supplying this device to a British sports and luxury car manufacturer for use as the IVI in its latest model targeting the global market, to be launched in 2017. In addition, this system is deployed on the IVI of a Japanese car manufacturer model currently shipped to the Southeast Asia market.

NetFront Browser NX is a WebKit-based browser that features ultra-low levels of memory usage while achieving ultra-fast rendering, enabled by ACCESS unique technology that improves memory usage efficiency. It ensures powerful rendering on a variety of devices and operating systems. The browser supports cutting edge Web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, WebP, WebSocket, and HTTP Cache.
