Now in its 42nd year, the International Emmy Awards, has opened its call for entries with 17 February as the deadline for submission.

Shows originally created for television and that were aired between 1 January and 31 December 2013 are eligible to enter.

The awards honours TV shows that were produced and / or aired in the U.S. and those that were produced and / or aired outside the U.S.

The eligibility requirements for shows that were produced outside the US are:

Must have been originally created for television;

Must have been predominantly produced by a non-US organisation; for programmes produced and / or initially aired in the US;

Must have initially been broadcast outside of the US between the dates of 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2013;

Must have a non-US organisation listed as the entering organisation on the online entry form;

Must comply with the category requirements described in Section II Categories;

Must not have been submitted in any other Emmy competition (including any US competition);

Must not have had a theatrical release, within or outside of the US, before the first television broadcast.
