J nger Audio shortlisted for IABM Design & Innovation Award 19 Aug 2014

J nger Audio has announced that it has been shortlisted in the audio category of the IABM Design & Innovation Awards. The awards will be casting the spotlight on new solutions or products that bring benefit or create new opportunities to the broadcast and media industry.

J nger Audio's award entry was based on its D*AP8 MAP Edition offering that combination of an audio monitor controller, a loudness measurement device, audio de- and compression and a real-time metadata emulation in one unit, thus providing comprehensive quality control and loudness monitoring for anyone working in a production or broadcast environment.

Metadata emulation is very important to the broadcast community says J nger Audios CEO Peter P rs. It ensures that television audiences at home hear their programs the way producers and content creators intended them to be. All kinds of audio parameters, including Loudness levels, are controlled this way. In countries where you need to follow loudness recommendation its vital that broadcasters can check exactly what consumers will hear before material leaves their facilities.

Shortlisted entries will be judged by a panel of independent specialists chaired by John Ive, Director of Business Development and Technology, IABM. Winners will be announced at the IABM reception and awards ceremony at IBC in Amsterdam on Saturday, 13 September at 18h30.
