EBS highlights Pawa EPG software at IBC 2015 --

EBS is showcasing its Pawa software at this year s IBC, taking place from 10 to 15 Sepetember in Amsterdam. Pawa, a multi-platform, multi-territory, scalable software solution, enables linear and non-linear EPG data to be aggregated, restructured and delivered to any platform in any format.
As content has expanded beyond the traditional boundaries of linear channels, encompassing connected and non-linear solutions, the role of EPG data has grown exponentially as it performs an important role pointing viewers towards relevant programming. For channels, this has brought its own challenges as both the amount of metadata and variation between platforms has increased. Channels broadcasting across multiple territories are required to deliver linear and non-linear data, in many different specifications, each with different file formats, metadata requirements and other intricacies. Platforms on the other hand have to deal with different channels, each representing a different data source and often providing varying levels of quality.
The Pawa system is able to fulfil the full range of distribution requirements necessary for broadcasters, driving linear and non-linear EPG data from a single database.
Pawa can import listings from a variety of formats storing them centrally in preparation for distribution. Editors can then add any additional data required such as translations, editorial, images or cast before the listings are delivered wherever required, including platform operators both linear and non-linear, web, print, apps and more.
Pawa can be bought as a managed service, whereby EBS handles the entire EPG data process, or alternatively as a software-as-a-service option with full training and support.
