How many subscribers does Disney Plus have?

The service racked up 29 million US subscribers in its first three months, 10 million of whom signed up on the first day.

When will the service launch in Europe and how much will it cost?

Disney Plus will launch in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland on 24th March. The price will be £5.99/ 6.99 per month, or £59.99/ 69.99 for an annual subscription.

How many UK consumers will subscribe to Disney Plus?

The service is predicted to attract up to 7.6 million UK subscribers, most of whom would add the service on top of existing streaming subscriptions.

Will Disney Plus be available with pay-TV packages?

In the UK, Sky is expected to carry the streaming service. Virgin Media and BT could also offer the Disney Plus app, but may be unable to fully integrate the service with other programming. In Spain, Telefonica is due to add Disney Plus to its Movistar+ offering.

Is Disney Plus a threat to Netflix?

Netflix lost 1.1 million US subscribers to Disney Plus in November. In the UK, 2 per cent of Netflix users are considering leaving the service for Disney Plus.

Disney Plus scores higher than Apple TV+ for audience satisfaction in the US, with 76 per cent reporting high levels of satisfaction, compared to 48 per cent for the Apple streaming service.
