TO HEADLINE WIRELESS AND DOCSIS 3.1 SYMPOSIUM AT SCTE CABLE-TEC EXPO
JULY 10, 2014 (Exton, PA) The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) today announced that a cast of highly regarded thought leaders from CableLabs and a cross-section of the operator and vendor community has been selected as presenters for the Wireless and DOCSIS 3.1 Pre-Conference Symposium to be held Monday, Sept. 22, in conjunction with SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2014.
Comcast's Jorge Salinger, Cisco's John Chapman, and CableLabs ' Belal Hamzeh, Mark Poletti, and Vivek Ganti headline a group of seven presenters who will provide a comprehensive overview of the two services and their roles in the future of cable. The full-day symposium will address the current status of the two technologies, their potential impact on operators' service bundles, and their ability to improve customer experiences. In addition, the symposium will discuss in detail the technical requirements and engineering techniques that are needed to ensure seamless, successful deployments.
Scheduled from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM at Denver's Colorado Convention Center, the symposium is a joint presentation of SCTE and CableLabs . The event will feature four sessions each on wireless and DOCSIS 3.1.
