Popular series, Ramarajan, returns with Season 2

New musical drama series, Swara Layam

Astro customers can look forward to more local Tamil series premiering on 1 June, including the second season of popular family comedy series, Ramarajan' and new musical drama series, Swara Layam'. Both series will be available on TV, Astro GO and On Demand.

Following the success from its first season, Ramarajan 2.0' returns with more laughs and heart-warming moments and will introduce a new four-legged character played by Teddy, alongside Foxxy, who continues to play Ramarajan'. Directed by talented local filmmaker, Kabilan Plondran, this series also features local talents: Dato Sri Datin Geethanjali, Tokoh Sathia, Thasha Krishna Kumar, Vicran Elanggoven, Kuben Mahadevan, Akhsra Nair, Santeinii Chandra Bos, Ben G, Saha Champ, Rackesh aka Rocket and Alvin Martin Santhiavoo. Additionally, fans can participate in the Ramarajan 2.0 - Watch and Win' contest via digital platform, Astro Ulagam, for a chance to take home an iPhone XR and two VIVO Y2 mobile phones. Ramarajan 2.0' premieres on 1 June at 9pm on Astro Vinmeen HD (Ch 202).

Customers can also enjoy premiering musical drama series Swara Layam' directed by local talent, S. Balachandran and starring Karnan Kanapathy, Yasmin Nadiah, Jayashree Vijayan. In addition to its engrossing storyline, this series will present fans with captivating songs that combine both modern and classical musical aspects, including seven original songs composed and sung by both local and international talents, including composers - Shane Xtreme, B. Saththiya Narayanan, Bawani and Edwin Louis; and singers - Kumaresh Kamalakannan, Sanggari Krish, Dhenesh Selvanathan, Prime Samba, Bawani and Edwin Louis. Swara Layam' premieres on 1 June at 8pm on Astro Vaanavil HD (Ch 201).
