Consumer experience to the 4K debate Rub n Mellado (Movistar), lvaro Villegas (Nokia) y Kevin King (AJA) analizan en un panel de expertos en la 4K Summit la experiencia de usuario ante el consumo de contenidos en Ultra Alta Definici n.

Mellado ha iniciado su intervenci n destacando la sustituci n masiva de set top boxes a m s de 4 millones de clientes de Movistar+ que a partir de ahora contar n con un STB con soporte 4K UHD, conectividad Ethernet e integraci n con Aura, el asistente inteligente por voz de Telef nica. Tras esta primera experiencia en Espa a, Movistar ir extendiendo los decos 4K a otros territorios de Am rica Latina en los que opera.
Para ofrecer una buena experiencia es importante contar con una buena red tanto de acceso como interna en casa v a WiFi. No podemos llenar la casa de cables, por ello el Wifi es importante , ha asegurado.
Por otro lado, tambi n ha subrayado la importancia de ofrecer contenidos de la m s alta calidad en movilidad mediante la red de acceso m vil logrando una experiencia excelente en el usuario.
El objetivo es acercar al cliente contenidos de m xima calidad incluso en redes m viles , ha reconocido. Telef nica apuesta as por ofrecer una experiencia de gran calidad tanto en el hogar, pasando por la red de acceso y la plataforma de v deo.
El contenido es el rey pero las funcionalidades son la reina como el catch up o visionado de los ltimos siete d as , ha afirmado.
Por su parte, lvaro Villegas ha hecho un repaso al desarrollo tecnol gico que Nokia ha llevado a cabo a lo largo de los ltimos dos a os. Cuando empezamos a trabajar sobre 4K hace dos a os era una tecnolog a de cara al futuro hoy, los usuarios empiezan a vivirla como una realidad , ha comentado.
En l nea con lo se alado por Mellado, Villegas tambi n ha subrayado que es necesario contar con una buena plataforma en casa para disfrutar de estos contenidos 4K en casa a trav s de Wifi y redes 5G de cara a facilitar nuevas experiencias en t rminos de movilidad.
En esta l nea de trabajo ha compartido la experiencia llevada a cabo hace unas semanas en Segovia con la distribuci n de contenidos 4K mediante una red m vil con excelentes resultados.
Por ltimo, ha adelantado que la Ultra Alta Definici n (4K, 8K y m s all ) ser imprescindible a la hora de desarrollar experiencias inmersivas. En la 4K Summit, Nokia est llevando a cabo demostraciones en esta l nea con v deos con resoluci n en 16K.
El encargado de cerrar este panel de expertos ha sido Kevin King quien ha iniciado su intervenci n repasando la historia de AJA que a lo largo de sus 25 a os de vida ha fabricado todo tipo de componentes que han permitido el paso de la SD a la HD y ahora al 4K.
King ha comentado que AJA cuenta con una gran equipo de ingenieros que trabajar para adelantarse a las tendencias tecnol gicas permitiendo a los usuarios modificar los contenidos en v deo o metadatos e impulsarlos para edici n o para plataformas de entrega como Movistar. AJA ayuda para agilizar estos procesos trazando puentes , ha comentado.
Para cerrar su intervenci n, Kevin King ha reconocido el papel que servicios de streaming como Netflix o Amazon ha jugado para acelerar la llegada del 4K con alto rango din mico HDR.
Construir un sistema de transmisi n de cero requiere un gran esfuerzo humano y de inversi n, y la tecnolog a de AJA ayuda a los profesionales ha caminar hacia nuevos retos , ha se alado.
Por ltimo, se ha mostrado convencido de que probablemente mi generaci n sea la ltima que consumir masivamente programaci n lineal. Las nuevas generaciones quieren ver programas en cualquier lugar y en la forma y momento que desean .
