ROSS VIDEO LAUNCHES THE CARBONITE 10 11 Mar 2013

Ross Video adds another product to its expanding Carbonite switcher lineup. Called Carbonite 10, this new 1 MLE switcher is designed for the budget conscious but includes the powerful standard features of the Carbonite family.

Carbonite 10 is a new 1 MLE control panel based on its successful bigger brothers, the Carbonite 1 and 1M but with 10 source select buttons instead of 16 or 24.

Carbonite's success is remarkable. It continues to exceed our expectations, and we have now shipped over 1000 systems since it's introduction, stated Nigel Spratling, Switcher Business Development Manager, Ross Video. At Ross we listen carefully to our customers to help make our products better. Through this, we have learned that many would like to own a Carbonite, but it's just beyond the reach of their budget. Accordingly, we have designed the Carbonite 10 to provide a cost effective switcher package with lots of horsepower - but at an even more affordable price point.

Like the other switchers in the Carbonite range, the Carbonite 10 is available with 16 or 24 Multi-Definition SDI inputs and 9 internally generated sources. Carbonite 10 can be configured with the new Carbonite+ and MultiMedia processing engines and comes with our LiveAssist and MediaManager Graphical User Interfaces.

Not only will the Carbonite 10 fit well into most budgets, its tiny footprint also makes it perfect for small production trucks and flight packs. Don't let this compact panel's size fool you; it is a production powerhouse under the hood, continued Spratling.

A 16 input Carbonite 10 has a US list price of $18,995, and is available for immediate delivery.
