rd Global New Materials Competition hedl in Chongqing

Recently, the first session of the 3rd China (Ningbo) Global New Materials Competition was held in Chongqing, attracting 17 quality projects from the Mid-China area. As a result, 10 projects from such enterprises as the CHTD Technology of Foshan and the Hanyue Sci-tech Development of Chongqing got the qualification for the final in Ningbo to compete for the up to 30 million yuan first prize.

The session is organized by the Organization Department of Ningbo Party Committee, the adminstration of Ningbo National High-tech Development Zone, and hosted by Ningbo Innovation & Entrepreneurship Adminstration and Service Center, Zhejiang Cybernaut Investment Management Co. Ltd., Zhejiang Saichuangweilai Investment and Management Co. Ltd., and Chongqing Guisi Technology. The 17 projects of the competition were selected from about 100 candidate projects submitted.

At the competition, a large number of new technological projects attracted peoples attention. "Our 3D textile machines can produce the strongest cloth, which is six to seven times as strong as steel, one fourth of the weight of the steel, and even lighter than cotton cloth." said Lin Fusheng, founder of the CHTD Technology. The 3D carbon fibre textile machine is the first automatic textile equipment for wide and thick textile products in the world, and it possesses six invention patents and 11 utility model patents in China.

The 3rd China (Ningbo) Global New Materials Competition aims to find out the pioneer projects with the globally advanced technological level, contact and introduce the entrepreneurial talents and capital, build the global information channel and linkage platform, and build the most professional investment-capital docking platform for new materials projects and investors by accumulating entrepreneurial and innovative elements and new materials growth projects.

Compared with the sessions of the past two years, the 2016 competition has a larger coverage. Besides the competition areas in Chongqing, Nanjing and Beijing, there are two overseas areas, including the Asian competition area centered in Japan and the European competition area centered in Germany. After the fierce competition, the 50 candidate projects will come to the final held in Ningbo for the first prize. If the candidate projects can get the investment from the investors, they can also get a large amount of entrepreneurship grant.
