ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery have selected 3 Screen Solutions to provide development, engineering and integration for new streaming service Joyn.

3SS has custom-developed Joyn's web front end based on its 3READY Front End UI framework. The company has also supported the Joyn engineering team in the development phase of the Apps for iOS, Android mobile, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV and other smart TV devices.

Joyn launched in June with Discovery and ProSiebenSat.1 stating they hope it will become the largest free-TV service in Germany.

Consumers today need their TV services to be easy-to use, with all viewing choices presented in a unified and engaging way, and making that content easily discoverable and accessible, said Kai-Christian Borchers, managing director of 3SS. We are proud to have been selected to help Joyn's audiences watch the service's huge array of programming wherever they choose, on any device, he added.
