RTI Expands Headquarters to New Eden Prairie Complex

Leader in Remote Control System Technology Greatly Enlarges its Engineering and Research Space in New State-of-the-Art Facility EDEN PRAIRIE, MN - June 20, 2005 - Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), the pioneer of home entertainment control technology, has moved its corporate head offices to Eden Prairie, an established suburb 15 miles southwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The new complex is twice the size of the former RTI headquarters in Chanhassen. It will house an elaborate training and demonstration facility, as well as a much more spacious engineering and research department.

We have simply outgrown our old facilities, said Pete Baker, director of sales and marketing for RTI. Our new offices will give us a lot more elbow room, especially in the area of training and research and development. With the recent release of our newest universal system controllers and with the development of a more hands-on training program for our dealers, the new facility provides the perfect setting to help achieve our goals.

In the past year, RTI has successfully launched several new control solutions including the T2+ and T3 universal remote controls, along with the RP-6 remote control processor, which was named Electronic House Magazines Product of the Year and CEPros High Impact Product of the Year for 2004. The T2 and T3 are powerful user interfaces that provide consumers easy access to all functions of any sized home entertainment system. Coupled with the RP-6 processor and other accessories, the T2 and T3 let installers create a truly automated whole-house control system providing users with reliable control of their entertainment systems from just about anywhere.

RTI is also introducing two innovative new products in the fall. The new K4 in-wall universal controller marks RTIs entry into whole-house, wired controls. The K4 is the first and only color touchpanel that provides a stand-alone control system, universal IR output, composite video input, and Ethernet connectivity. It is the perfect addition to any multi-room system installation, providing access to A/V control, security cameras, and the internet. In addition, the new U1 remote control is one of the industrys only wireless controllers that is waterproof and able to float. Finally, there is a control solution specifically designed to work reliably in wet, outdoor, or other harsh environments. This innovative new product showcases RTIs commitment to provide unique solutions for our custom installation dealers.
