South Wales-based post house invests in Quantel post systems again

Dragon, the Pencoed, South Wales-based post house, has purchased a turnkey Pablo Rio 4KO color and finishing system with a Neo panel for 4K color and finishing. Dragon has also boosted its workflow with the addition of Pablo PA conform, preparation and workflow software. The Quantel system will be used to complete 4K DI and color grade processes on feature films, TV programs and commercials. The system was sold via Quantel s UK reseller partner, XTFX.

Dragon provides creative, technical and digital media expertise for the film, television and media industry. The facility has established itself as an industry leader in audio visual services, film restoration and film digital delivery for clients such as the Imperial War Museum and the British Film Institute.

Pablo Rio is Quantel s high quality color and finishing system that provides the ultimate productive post workflow. Pablo Rio runs on high performance PC hardware and exploits NVIDIA Maximus multi-GPU technology to deliver true interactivity and maximum productivity, with realtime performance at 4K 60p and beyond. Pablo Rio is available as software only and as a range of Quantel-backed turnkey systems.
