The International League Champion Durham Bulls have been as busy in the off-season as they were during the games last summer. The ballpark continues undergoing major renovations which will be unveiled in April. The staff is working out of temporary offices in the Diamond View Office Building. Tickets are now going on sale so you can be part of the action.
Here's a brief overview of what's happening behind the scenes at the minor league baseball club in Durham:
Renovations Underway
When you walk through the gates at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Opening Day, you'll be doing a double take with all the changes brought on by this off-season's massive renovation project. Here what to expect when you come to the ballpark for the 2014 games.

Tickets Now on Sale
The 2014 season opener will be a rebirth of the historic franchise, as the newly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park opens its doors for the first time after a $20 million upgrade on Thursday, April 3.
Individual tickets for all regular season games for the 2014 season went on sale, Saturday, March 1st.

National Anthem Auditions
The Bulls will hold National Anthem auditions to find performers for the 2014 season on Saturday, March 15 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham. Singers will be heard on a first come, first sing basis and must have lyrics memorized.

Wool E. Gram
Wool E. Bull delivered Valentines wishes despite the winter weather on the actual day. Bulls fan Lisa Carpenter send a Wool E. Gram to her Mom and got a wonderful response.
Here's what Lisa Carpenter shared her Mom's experience:
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the awesome surprise you provided to my Mother Friday afternoon. My family is thrilled.
Wool E. did a great job hiding once the dog started barking. Wool E. caught my Mom totally by surprise and I saw on video how happy she was by how fast she grabbed and hugged him and started crying. It was tears of happiness. She called and said, How in the world did you get him to come to our house?'
My Mom and Dad said Wool E was so nice and gracious and gave her the biggest Morale boost outside of finding out she was in remission for her Cancer. Having Wool E Bull show up at her home in a TUX specifically for her was the best Birthday, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day gift she be provided.
My Mom stated that was the most original gift she has ever received.
The Time Is Drawing Near
The Durham Bulls open their Governors' Cup title defense at the newly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park on April 3, 2014 versus the Gwinnett Braves. Group tickets and picnic areas for the 2014 Triple-A All-Star Game and Home Run Derby can be purchased now by calling 919.956.BULL ext. 2.
