Telemetrics Integrated HD Camera / Robotic PTZ Supports Wide Range of Applications

Las Vegas, NV (April 13, 2015) - At NAB 2015, Telemetrics Inc. is showing visitors how their RoboEye integrated HD camera/robotic PTZF with broadcast quality HD imaging and high-end robotics performance, is creating new ways to enhance production. Its fully integrated, compact design makes it ideal for use in an extensive range of broadcast and production applications, as well as for demanding commercial and industrial military environments where high reliability, image quality and smooth accurate robotic performance are a must.

With its many design attributes, RoboEye readily overcomes production challenges and helps redefine and improve the production experience, said Anthony Cuomo, President, Telemetrics, Inc. Along with conventional applications, its precise positioning accuracy also makes it perfect for on-air and augmented reality systems - without the need for added peripherals.

The integrated pan/tilt unit is equipped with servo motors for maximum accuracy in positioning and velocity. It has a pan/tilt velocity of 0.01 - 90 /second, a stop accuracy of 0.03 and a feedback accuracy of 0.000375 , specifications which are ideal for virtual systems. The servo motors help to minimize vibration for smoother motion as well as assuring precise preset-recall convergence where all axis movements (pan, tilt, zoom and focus) start and stop at the same time.

The camera features a 30X zoom lens and a Sony Exmor 2.18-megapixel CMOS image sensor to capture HD images with exceptional color reproduction. It has a minimum illumination of 0.6 lux. RoboEye provides native 1,920 x 1,080 HD-SDI and HDMI outputs, as well as SD composite video outputs in NTSC and PAL formats. For added versatility, its HD and video outputs can be used simultaneously and multiple cameras can be genlocked. Gain set-up is automatic with a manual override and up to 1,000 presets can be stored.

RoboEye's advanced electronic interface includes a web-server enabling users to access video and control using a web-enabled device. Alternatively, the camera can be remotely controlled over an Ethernet connection or via RS-232C/422. A USB port is also included.

RoboEye comes ready for use with a universal mounting bracket that allows wall-, ceiling- and shelf-mounted configurations. It is suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor applications and has an ingression rating of IP65.
