The first part of the sixth season will finally put an end to the Diana chapter

The fifth instalment of The Crown might have received a lukewarm response from viewers, but it understood the assignment as it focused on the breakdown of The Wales marriage and the divorce that followed. The season ended with Diana getting ready to go on a holiday with the Al Fayeds and the queen, realising that the monarchy is now being forced to move into a new modern era.

Events to be covered in Part 1 The first part of the final season is set to contain four episodes according to Aol. These episodes will pick up where the fifth season ended, and that is the beginning of 1997 after Tony Blair had won the election and Diana had found comfort with Mohammed Al Fayedfina and his family.
The first part will then cover the aftermath of Diana's accident and the week that put the monarchy in danger of being overthrown. This was a smart move by the producers as this was a crucial event in the history of the late Queen Elizabeth's reign. It would not have been properly portrayed in a few episodes if the final season had one overall season.

Events to be covered in Part 2 The second part of the final season will most likely bring us into recent times. It has been widely reported that Kate Middleton will make her debut in the final season of the show. The courtship of Kate and William will be one of the events covered.
The season, like the first instalment, will not be without its tragedy as we will see the death of the queen's closest family members, Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother. It can be speculated that the queen's fifth jubilee, which was celebrated in 2002, will be showcased.

The only event that cannot be confirmed will be portrayed is the death of the queen, as it is rumoured the end of the show will not go beyond 2003.

When will the two-part instalments be available to stream The producers of The Crown have been very thoughtful when it comes to the waiting period between both instalments. The first part of the final season will be available to stream on 16 November, and the second instalment.
This is once again a very smart move as the viewers and the press will still be reviewing the events of the first instalment and will no doubt be anticipating the second instalment.
The first five seasons of The Crown are available to stream on Netflix.
