Ningbo to Build Major Leisure and Tourism Destination in Hangzhou Bay New Zone

Apr.16 marks a grand opening of Ningbo Fanta Oriental Heritage, which was recently awarded China's Most Expected Theme Park, a prize equal to Oscar in recreational industry. Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Zone, therefore, boasts another highlight in its cultural tourism adding to existing tourism resources such as wetlands and hot springs.

Coming Closer: Leisure and Tourism Destination of the Yangtze River Delta

Relying on the existing tourism resources and ecological advantages, along with the advance of Happy Holidays coastal townships, the construction of wetlands housing, holding of Coastal Happy Festivals and the ratification of Geely Automotive Industry Tour demonstration, the New Zone has developed four kinds of tourist patterns wetlands sightseeing, thematic leisure travel, hot springs vacation and ecological industry tour. A heaven has been successfully created, well suited to the need of family weekend getaway. Chinese Revival Cultural Park, situated in the New Zone with a total investment of 12.8 billion, is the biggest cultural industry project in Zhejiang Businessmen Return Program both in the Hangzhou Bay New Zone as well as in Ningbo city. Chinese culture as its core, Fanta Oriental Heritage , Revival Road Park and Future Chinese Park those three as its components, the project comprises three specialized industrial base cultural and creative base, property rights exchange center of cultural products and intangible cultural heritage base together with supporting towns and theme hotels, composing a trilogy of past, present and future of Beautiful China.

Ningbo Fanta Oriental Heritage is the first part in this trilogy, a new-form recreational park after projects like Fanta Happy World, Fanta Magic Kingdom and Fanta Water Park created by Huaqiang Groups. As the world largest VR park, Oriental Heritage is the sole culture-based park in southeastern region of China, an official in Tourism Bureau of Hangzhou Bay New Zone remarked, It serves not only as a tourism destination in traditional sense but also a base for patriotic education where people can carry forward the traditional culture and strengthen their determination to realize Chinese Dream.
