
Los Premios Quirino celebrar n su gala virtual el 27 de junio La entrega de estos premios que se celebran anualmente en Tenerife se transmitir online el s bado 27 de junio a trav s de Facebook Live.
Por tercer a o consecutivo los Premios Quirino se convierten en el principal escaparate de la animaci n iberoamericana reuniendo a los principales protagonistas del sector en una gala que se celebrar en formato digital y que se retransmitir por Facebook Live el s bado 27 de junio a las 20:00hs. de Espa a (19:00hs Tenerife/Portugal, 15:00hs. Argentina/Chile/Brasil, 13:00hs. M xico/Per /Ecuador/Colombia).
Un total de 22 trabajos provenientes de diez pa ses de la regi n se disputar n las estatuillas de estos galardones creados en 2018 para promocionar la animaci n iberoamericana. La animaci n portuguesa es la m s representada con diez candidaturas, mientras que Espa a presenta siete finalistas, seguido de Argentina (6), Brasil (4), Colombia (2), Bolivia (2) y Chile (1), M xico (1), Paraguay (1) y Uruguay (1). Las obras finalistas fueron seleccionadas por un jurado internacional entre 219 trabajos recibidos en la convocatoria.
Los Premios Quirino, que cuentan con el patrocinio principal del Cabildo de Tenerife a trav s de la Tenerife Film Commission, ten an previsto celebrar su tercera edici n el pasado 18 de abril en Tenerife y han tenido que modificar su fecha de celebraci n y formato como consecuencia de la pandemia del coronavirus. La isla estar presente en toda la gala con algunos de sus paisajes m s emblem ticos y con la participaci n de profesionales y empresas de animaci n que se encuentran entre los finalistas. C mo pr logo a la gala tendr lugar un photocall animado en el que distintas personalidades del sector desfilar n virtualmente por la alfombra morada de los Quirino junto a los directores y las directoras finalistas.
Los cuatro largometrajes que optan al Premio Quirino son: la coproducci n argentino-espa ola La Gallina Turuleca , de V ctor Monigote y Eduardo Gondell; el argentino El patalarga de Mercedes Moreira; el colombiano Relatos de reconciliaci n de Carlos Santa y Rub n Monroy; y el espa ol Klaus de Sergio Pablos.
Por su parte, las series finalistas son la portuguesa Crias Crocodilos , coproducida con Francia; la espa ola Momonsters ; la mexicana Pollos espaciales del espacio , coproducida con el Reino Unido, Irlanda y Australia; y la brasile a Tain e os guardi es da Amaz nia .
En la categor a de cortos los candidatos son el colombiano El p jarocubo de Jorge Alberto Vega y los portugueses Purpleboy de Alexandre Siqueira, coproducci n con B lgica y Francia, y Tio Tom s a contabilidade dos dias de Regina Pessoa, coproducci n con Canad y Francia.
Junto a estos galardones, se reconocer n las mejores obras en las categor as cortometraje de escuela, animaci n de encargo, animaci n de videojuegos, desarrollo visual, dise o de animaci n, dise o de sonido y m sica original. La lista de las obras finalistas se puede consultar aqu .
D as antes de la entrega de premios el p blico tendr oportunidad de conocer en profundidad las series de animaci n y largometrajes finalistas en los dos ltimos programas del ciclo de entrevistas que estar n disponibles online en el Facebook Live de los Premios Quirino el martes 23 (series de animaci n) y el jueves 25 (largometrajes).
Foro de coproducci n La gala ser el broche final del Mes Quirino, nombre bajo el cual la organizaci n de los Premios organiz una intensa agenda de actividades en torno a la animaci n iberoamericana, como el Foro de Coproducci n y Negocio. Organizado con la colaboraci n de ICEX, Animation From Spain and PROEXCA, esta plataforma profesional cont con la participaci n un centenar de empresas de 19 pa ses que mantuvieron m s de 800 reuniones B2B. A lo largo de todo un mes representantes de canales, distribuidoras y productoras tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer distintos proyectos provenientes de los 23 pa ses de la regi n iberoamericana.
Adem s de este Foro, el mes Quirino cont entre sus actividades con distintas conferencias y mesas redondas como la realizada por La Liga de Animaci n Iberoamericana y el pitch del proyecto Primeras ; la mesa redonda sobre la mujer en la animaci n iberoamericana en la que participaron las asociaciones MIA (Mujeres en la Industria de la Animaci n, Espa a), MUMA (Mujeres en el Mundo de la Animaci n, M xico) y RAMA (Red Argentina de Mujeres de la Animaci n); la charla sobre nuevas tecnolog as aplicadas a la producci n de animaci n con Andr s Aguilar (Mate), Juan Ca ada (Epic Games) y Francisco Delgado (HP); y la charla sobre sostenibilidad en la animaci n con la participaci n de la Tenerife Film Commission, Welaw y las empresas tinerfe as La Casa Animada, Tomavision, Mondo TV Producciones Canarias, In Efecto, B Water Animation Studios, Drakhar Studio y 3 Doubles Producciones. Todas estas conferencias, que hasta la fecha registran m s de 140.000 visionados, pueden volver a verse en el canal de YouTube de los Premios Quirino.
