Witbe brings its AI-native testing and monitoring infrastructure to Amsterdam: demonstrations on real devices, a peer-reviewed technical paper in the conference program, and new capabilities shipping right up to the show
Witbe tests and monitors video services on the same real devices their viewers use Smart TVs, set-top boxes, mobile phones, and streaming sticks on real networks, with video evidence for every result. The company can deploy and operate that device infrastructure wherever a services viewers are. At IBC2026 (Hall 1, Booth 1.C53), Witbe (Euronext Growth - FR0013143872 - ALWIT) will show what that platform becomes with AI built into every layer.
Watch a Test Build Itself on a Real Device
At the booth, Witbe will demonstrate AI prompts no rigid script can survive: select the latest episode of a named show, or confirm everything on screen suits a kid's profile, a human-like assessment no image-matching automation can make. The agents absorb what breaks traditional automation: pop-ups, sleep mode, system prompts and overnight UI redesigns. When a major European streaming service reskinned its homepage for the Superman launch, tests adapted at runtime, kept running, and even validated the coherence of the new visuals.
Beyond availability testing, the Agentic SDK, a Python framework, combines AI-driven steps with algorithmic steps in the same scenario, making it possible to measure performance KPIs such as startup time, buffering and MOS-based video quality. This hybrid approach allows teams to control how much AI is used in each test, from 0% to 100% per scenario, giving them direct control over token consumption and AI spend.
Witbes peer-reviewed IBC2026 paper Agentic AI for Smart TV QA: A Production Field Study Across Multiple Platforms and Languages, documents eight months of agentic AI in production: one engineer using the same test infrastructure went from 78 to 316 maintained tests and 280,626 executions absorbing every UI change without intervention. Witbe COO Yoann Hinard will present these findings in the Streaming Technology 2 session, Saturday, September 12, 15:45-16:45.

Short-Form and Vertical Video QA, Everywhere
Short-form video is everywhere. Following the trend set by social media feeds, every major streaming platform has announced a short-form format built from its long-form catalog in the last six months: NetflixUID>.INBOX>154857#_edn1 name=_ednref1>[i], Prime VideoUID>.INBOX>154857#_edn2 name=_ednref2>[ii], Disney UID>.INBOX>154857#_edn3 name=_ednref3>[iii], and PeacockUID>.INBOX>154857#_edn4 name=_ednref4>[iv] all added vertical clip feeds inside their apps. Shorts feeds are landing on Smart TVs, where content engineered for a phone must render on a ten-foot screen. Witbe validates all of it in production.
For one of the worlds largest social media companies, Witbe monitors short-form feeds at global scale: 100 real mobile devices running more than 300,000 tests per month, plus dedicated feed monitoring on Samsung and TCL Smart TVs, Fire TV, and connected streaming devices. Measured KPIs include time to first video, feed scroll performance, video quality across rapid transitions, audio/video sync, and ad load duration.

Ads Verified Wherever They Appear: On the Field, Beside the Live Feed, During the Break
Witbe now verifies ads far beyond the ad break, including two formats that were nearly impossible to monitor: virtual ad placements, or virtual signage, sponsor graphics inserted directly into the game; and stay-live ads, where the action continues inside a branded frame. Premium placements, invisible to traditional verification: no break, no SCTE marker, no slate.
Witbe tracks them live against client-provided definitions, logging every occurrence with timecodes and video evidence. A monitoring setup this specialized used to take days to set up, when it was possible at all. Thanks to the Agentic SDK, it now deploys in hours. During FIFA World Cup matches in Europe and north America, Witbe monitored the broadcast on 100 real devices across 30 locations, comparing regional feeds side by side.
Backend systems confirm an ad was served. Only the device screen confirms it was seen.

Closed Captions, Verified as Viewers See Them
Caption failures are invisible to backend monitoring: the stream carries caption data, so the system reports success, whatever the screen shows. Witbe verifies captions as rendered on the device: presence, language, synchronization, text matched against the spoken audio, graphic overlap, line count, garbled characters. AI-based analysis compares caption text with the audio; deterministic checks handle timing and rendering; every flagged issue links to the recorded video.
