Legendary actor Sello Maake KaNcube has joined educational soapie Skeem Saam as Ntate Kganyago. According to the TVSA October teasers, KaNcube's character might be Jacobeth Thobakgale's new love interest after her failed relationship with Elizabeth's father.

SELLO MAAKE KANCUBE: NEW ROLE The fan favourite actor Sello Maake KaNcube will appear in Skeem Saam on Tuesday, 11 October as Ntate Kganyago, according to Drum Magazine. The publication adds that he will save Jacobeth's daughter Elizabeth Thobakgale from a con artist named Luc.

Maake KaNcube urges viewers to watch but doesn't reveal what's going to happen with his character on the show .

Every character is different on each show. You are venturing into exploring different circumstances of a different persona that you take on. It is a depiction of a different human condition from the one you played in the previous show and that is always exciting. And I am happy to be still getting work, he says.

It is clear to me that everything that is happening in my career is a manifestation of that love. I got into acting when I was 16 and now I'm 63, so I am grateful for it all.

In every role I play, I am always truthful to the character and the performance as a whole and that is why I think they are always so memorable. This one is no different.

SKEEM SAAM': HOW HE MEETS THE THOBAKGALE'S Drum Magazine adds that Dr Elizabeth Thobakgale (Amanda Manku) will be charmed by a former patient named Luc, who's also a con artist.

Dr Elizabeth hasn't dated anyone since her last relationship with Kwaito (Clement Maosa) and the new man Luc (Jean-Michel Tuji Mukengeshayi) appears to be the man of her dreams until Ntate Kganyago warns her about him being a professional con man.

He knows Luc swindled several innocent women out of their hard-earned money.

Ntate Kganyago will charm Elizabeth's mother Jacobeth Thobakgale, who will fall in love with him and agree to go on a date with him, according to the TVSA October teasers.

Friday 21 October:

Jacobeth meets someone who awakens feelings within her that she thought had long died.

Monday 24 October:

Jacobeth finds herself contending with her feelings for a man she doesn't even know.

Monday 31 October:

Jacobeth sings a new tune, she's now a resident on cloud 9.
