Wooden Camera announces the new Elite Accessory System for the Canon EOS C400: a custom series of critical camera accessories designed to provide an intuitive, flexible foundation for a wide range of setups.

We previewed the Canon EOS C400 Elite Accessory System at Cine Gear this past June, and we heard nothing but positive feedback, says Dominick Aiello, Senior Director of Accessories at Creative Solutions. We worked hard to develop a really adaptive, modular system that lets users quickly build out their setup with their preferred accessories, and it was great to watch people validate our efforts in a hands-on environment.

Wooden Camera designed its Elite Accessory System for Canon EOS C400 to integrate with a wide range of Wooden Camera, Canon, and third-party accessories, giving users the flexibility to fine-tune their setups for a variety of camera workflows. The System and la carte accessories will ship in September, coinciding with the release of the camera itself.

This collection lets users increase the number of mounting points and power options well beyond the base camera package, adds Aiello. And we're definitely excited to make it available when the camera is released.

The Wooden Camera Core Accessory System for the Canon EOS C400 includes:

Battery Slide Pro (available in Gold Mount or V-Mount): Provides battery voltage to the camera through a 4-pin XLR connector. Attaches directly to the back of the camera without rods. Internal BPU battery installation and access to the battery compartment allows users to easily hot-swap batteries.

Base Plate System for Canon EOS C400: Optically centered and intuitively designed, the ARCA Riser Plate and ARCA Base Plate allows users to streamline or build out their rigs to suit their workflow. Allows for seamless integration with Wooden Camera and third-party accessories, including LWS 15mm rods.

Top Plate System for Canon EOS C400: This lightweight, adaptable, modular system consists of a three-piece Top Plate (center plus two symmetrical left/right plates) and a front-facing Dual Rod Clamp. The Center Top Plate attaches to the center mounting points on the camera body with a 3/16 hex wrench, adding multiple -16 and -20 mounting points for handles or other accessories. The Left and Right Top Plates are symmetrical and can be used on either side and include forward-facing -16 mounting points. The Dual Rod Bracket can be used with the full top plate system to enable rod-based mounting.

Top Handle Cheese Plate for Canon EOS C400: Ergonomically designed to conform to the EOS C400 handle for maximum comfort, the Top Handle Cheese Plate attaches to the EOS C400 handle with -20 screws and provides additional space for accessories via multiple -20 and -16 mounting points on the top and side. A forward-facing -16 point allows users to mount bolt-on rods or other front-mounted accessories. The custom cutout design allows easy access to the EOS C400 hot shoe for mounting the camera's shotgun microphone shock mount.

NATO Side Rail for Canon EOS C400: Streamlined and secure, the NATO Side Rail mounts to the Top Plate near the rear of the camera without touching the EOS C400's handle, providing additional -20 and -16 mounting points and the ability to use NATO clamp accessories. Attaches to the Top Plate with a 3/16 hex wrench and features Wooden Camera-patented safety push pins for your NATO accessories.

Bolt-On Canon EVF Adaptor for Canon EOS C400: Securely attaches the 15mm EOS C400 EVF Adapter directly to the Ultra Handle Front Riser or the front of the 1 Ultra Handle Extension when using the Ultra Handle 5 Kit. Attaches with a -16 mounting screw using a 3/16 Hex and provides two -16 mounting points in addition to the Canon EVF mount.

The RF to PL Mount Adaptor, Ultra Handles, and other Canon EOS C400-compatible accessories are available on the Wooden Camera website.
