Keine Angst vor Technik und Naturwissenschaften
Sch lerinnen schnuppern bei Schaeffler in die Technik-Welt
Einmal im Jahr ist das Ausbildungszentrum von Schaeffler in Schweinfurt fest in der Hand von Sch lerinnen. Bei den M dchen-Schnuppertagen gibt es Technik zum Anfassen und Ausprobieren und Einblicke in die Ausbildungsberufe des Technologiekonzerns.
140 Sch lerinnen der achten bis zw lften Jahrgangsstufen quer durch alle Schularten waren im Ausbildungszentrum von Schaeffler in Schweinfurt aktiv. Viele von ihnen haben zum ersten Mal in ihrem Leben Werkzeuge wie L tkolben, Schlagbohrer oder gar einen Schwei brenner in der Hand gehalten. Die jungen Frauen folgten der Einladung der Hochschule f r angewandte Wissenschaften W rzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) und Schaeffler und schnupperten in naturwissenschaftlich-technische Berufe.
Seit ber zehn Jahren veranstaltet Schaeffler zusammen mit der FHWS und den Gleichstellungsbeauftragten der Region in den Herbstferien diese MINT-Schnuppertage f r M dchen. MINT steht dabei f r Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaft, Technik. Die ber 50 angebotenen Workshops sind so beliebt, dass die Sch lerinnen auch diesmal wieder weite Wege auf sich nahmen und beispielsweise aus dem Landkreis Rh n-Grabfeld oder aus dem Main-Spessart-Kreis anreisten.
Keine Ber hrungs ngste
Manche M dchen kommen sogar mehrere Jahre hintereinander zu unseren Schnuppertagen und bewerben sich dann auch bei uns um einen Ausbildungsplatz , betonte Uwe Geisel, Ausbildungsleiter bei Schaeffler am Standort Schweinfurt. Auf spannende und interessante Weise kommen sie so mit technischen Berufen in Kontakt. Dabei sind sie praktisch unter sich, denn angeleitet werden sie in den Workshops von Auszubildenden aus dem ersten und zweiten Lehrjahr. Da wird in Teams gearbeitet, sich gegenseitig geholfen und erkl rt. Vorurteile und Ber hrungs ngste gegen ber Technik und Naturwissenschaften werden spielerisch abgebaut. Der Erfolg gibt der Aktion recht: Mehr als 2.000 Sch lerinnen haben seit 2006 die Schnuppertage von Schaeffler und der Hochschule besucht, viele haben inzwischen eine Ausbildung bei Schaeffler abgeschlossen, andere ein duales Studium absolviert.
Technik zum Anfassen und Mitmachen

Die Sch lerinnen erprobten dabei den Umgang mit Bohrmaschine, Stichs ge, Schwei ger t. L ten, Feilen, Kleben, Drehen, Fr sen, Biegen und Schneiden: Immer mit viel Spa , gro er Konzentration und Begeisterung. Die Sch lerinnen strahlten ber ihre Erfolgserlebnisse und selbstgefertigte Teile, die sie als Erinnerungsst cke mit nach Hause nehmen konnten: Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben ein Loch in eine Betonwand gebohrt , freute sich die 17-j hrige Rebecca aus Lohr, die auch beim Schwei en oder an der Station Pneumatik gro en Spa hatte. Und die 14-j hrige Laura aus Hambach f gte hinzu: Ich war letztes Jahr schon dabei und fand es so gut, dass ich es unbedingt noch einmal machen wollte. Hier kann ich alles ausprobieren, vielleicht mache ich ja nach der Schule hier bei Schaeffler eine Ausbildung.
Abgerundet wurde das facettenreiche Programm durch Vortr ge von Auszubildenden. Sie stellten dabei ihre jeweiligen Ausbildungsberufe wie Industriekauffrau, Mechatronikerin oder Industriemechanikerin vor.
