ATTO Technology to Introduce New FibreBridge 7500 Storage Controller at VMworld 2014 Brings Enterprise-level Fibre Channel to SAS SSD/HDD storage with less than 4 microseconds of latency Amherst, NY (August 18, 2014) - ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage, network connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments for more than 25 years, will introduce its new FibreBridge 7500 Storage Controller at VMworld 2014 in San Francisco, California, August 24 through August 28. As IT infrastructures see some of their most radical changes in over a decade, ATTOs new 7500 and complete integrated portfolio of storage and network connectivity products assures solutions for todays challenging new high performance IT environments.

The ATTO FibreBridge 7500 Storage Controller is an accelerated, high performance storage platform that adds Enterprise-level Fibre Channel SAN connectivity to low-cost SAS JBOD storage. ATTOs exceptionally fast acceleration architecture has dedicated memory modules and data paths so commands wont have to compete for shared system resources allowing more data transfers at faster transfer rates. The 7500 creates a modular solution that forms an ideal platform for building out a virtualized, software defined data center.

Allows data mobility and redundancy via multisite cluster installations up to 100 kilometers apart.

Enables IT architects to assemble tiered high-speed SSD and high-capacity HDD solutions that aggregate up to 1.4PB of storage.

Supporting build your own or the industrys leading storage arrays, the 7500s raw performance enables virtualization of SSD & HDD to create high performance, low latency storage solutions.

ATTOs 7500 leverages the highly reliable and proven technology introduced by the FibreBridge 6500 which leading storage companies have installed in thousands of data centers worldwide. Both products feature ATTOs Drive Map Director technology which reduces operating expenses by eliminating manual mapping of LUNs and the need to remap LUNs if a drive shelf is removed for maintenance or failure. The 6500 features ATTOs Virtual Device Response (VDR) technology which enables devices to queue and execute commands on behalf of busy or unresponsive tape storage, reducing the number of failed or incomplete backups.

Completing the virtualized infrastructure, are ATTOs Celerity Gen 5 powered 16Gb & 8Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), ExpressSAS 12Gb & 6Gb HBAs and FastFrame 10GbE Network and Storage Interface Cards (NICs). The solution will be demonstrated in booth #211 at the Moscone Center.
