The Countdown is On

In nine weeks the Durham Bulls open their 2017 home schedule against the rival Charlotte Knights. To celebrate being just single-digit weeks away from the start of what will be another memorable campaign, the Bulls provide you nine things to remember as they approach a new season.

The Bulls' annual Spring Fan Fest will be held on Saturday, March 4 at the DBAP. Details of the event have not yet been released, but plan on showing up in the morning, leaving in the afternoon and taking some batting practice on the field when you're here!

In 2016 the website Stadium Journey reviewed 761 sports venues across North America. In January it ranked its Top 100 venues of the year, and the DBAP came in at No. 9 overall, and was the top-ranked venue in the Carolinas. Learn more about the stadium's honor here.

Former Bulls pitcher Lee Gardner was elected to the International League Hall of Fame earlier this week. Gardner pitched for the Bulls in the early 2000s, won two championships and is the franchise's all-time saves leader. Read more about his accomplishments here.
