Beta Da Silva hosts live performances from 20 new Irish artists in Sessions from Oblivion on 2FM's New Music Show

Catch the latest in Irish music live from venues such as Whelan's, R is n Dubh and the Oblivion Studios from Monday May 25

Beta Da Silva is once again at the heart of new music on his 2FM New Music Show. In the 10-part Sessions from Oblivion series, 20 new Irish acts record live performances from venues including Whelan's, Dublin's home of live music, Galway's legendary R is n Dubh and Oblivion Studios, and bring their fresh sound straight to the airwaves.

The line-up is jam packed with a diverse range of genres coming from artists from all over Ireland. The entertainment doesn't stop there as Beta will also be joined by experienced players in the music industry for a Tips and Tricks segment. Guests will share their thoughts and ideas for anybody interested in working in, or learning about, any aspect of music.

Galway sensation Aimee Carty, garage punk trio Adore from Dublin, Galway and Donegal, female-fronted Galway band Shark School and the genre blending THEATRE from Limerick, all take to the stage of R is n Dubh in Galway City.

In Whelan's more Irish talent delight including former opera singer turned electric pop artist ESSIRAY from Dublin and fellow Dublin pop star Pastiche, two impressive Belfast acts, Alt-pop singer Becky McNeice and afro-fusion artist Kiing Sequence who shared a band for their sets.

Kildare indie rockers, thanks mom, led by front woman, Erica Lee also perform in the famous Dublin venue along with Dubliner Filmore! who excites with his solid sounds featuring a guest vocal by Galway's Niall Tarmey. One of the 2FM Rising acts, Fortune Igiebor, brings on fellow Dublin rapper, danzi, as they groove on the floor with the audience, and Belfast's alt-rock band VERA, deliver a powerful performance with Sarah Toner on lead vocals.

The live sets in Oblivion Studios in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, feature Waterford's Stella and the Dreaming, Dublin pop sisters, ZEZTRA, Derry indie-pop singer, ROE, the one and only SexyTadhg from Carlow at the piano, a pop/rock performance by Dublin's Emma Noodles, DeCarteret from Clare who makes lo-fi beats and classical music, soul tinged songs from Cork's Senita (in company with K3:lu), and the Derry husband and wife team of Beauty Sleep, with their timeless indie-pop.

Beta Da Silva said: It's an honour and a privilege to be a part of a project like this which showcases the hard work and talent from some of Ireland's amazing acts. So many genres are on display in each of the episodes and there's a bit of everything for music lovers to grab on to. The live performances are the ultimate highlight, and I look forward to sharing that on the show!
