New sampled instrument based on a 1727 Stradivarius
Native Instruments have announced the release of Stradivari Violin, a Kontakt instrument that samples a 1727 violin made by renowned vioin-maker Antonio Stradivari.
The Vesuvius violin was recorded in the Giovanni Arvedi auditorium in Cremona, Italy (the town where the violin was made), with multiple microphones and capturing every note on the instrument in 20 different articulations.
Developed in collaboration with e-instruments (the developers behind NIs Session Strings and Session Horns libraries), Stradivari ships with a full-fat version, in which you can mix all of the microphones to taste, and also a cut-down version that outputs a straightforward stereo mix, for faster loading times and a simpler workflow.
