First Place Bulls Open May Schedule with Fun-Filled Homestand

Star Wars Night, Day Games, Fireworks Highlight Promotional Events

The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP on Monday, May 6, 2013, to begin an eight game homestand featuring visits from the Syracuse Chiefs and Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Star Wars Night, two day games, and Friday Night Fireworks highlight the promotional events schedule.

The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, come to town to begin a four game series on Monday, May 6. Monday's 7:05pm game is presented by Northwestern Mutual. The homestand opener also features the return of WilVille, a Wil Myers-themed seating section at the DBAP. For $20, fans can get a ticket in the WilVille section (Field Reserved section 122 adjacent to Myers' most frequent playing position), an exclusive WilVille t-shirt and $5 in food credit.

Tuesday's 7:05pm game is another AAA Membership Card Night. At every Tuesday home game in 2013, fans who show their AAA Membership Card can buy one Terrace Reserved ticket and get one, courtesy of AAA Carolinas. The Bulls and Chiefs will get underway at 11:05am on Wednesday, May 8, in the final Education Day of the season.

Syracuse's only visit of the year concludes on Thursday, May 9 at 7:05pm. Thursday home games at the DBAP (with the exception of July 4) will feature $1 Bright Leaf hot dogs, popcorn and fries. Thursday is also College Night, where students can get a Terrace Reserved ticket and $5 in Bulls Bucks for just $10 or an Outfield Reserved ticket for only $4.99 by entering the promo code COLLEGE (and using a valid .edu email address) when purchasing tickets online at durhambulls.com.

The Bulls welcome the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, top Minor League affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, to the DBAP on Friday, May 10 at 7:05pm. Great Clips will not only present Friday's game and postgame fireworks show, but also provide free colored hair spray on the concourse with donations going to the Children's Miracle Network. Fans can take advantage of a $10.00 Outfield Reserved ticket package for Friday night that includes a $5.00 donation to Children's Miracle Network and a free haircut coupon at Great Clips Triangle locations. This package is available at the box office, by phone or online at durhambulls.com using the code GREAT.

The 5:05pm game on Saturday, May 11, presented by Duke Energy, features one of the most popular annual promotions on the Bulls' event calendar as Star Wars Night returns to the DBAP. Fans can take photos and interact with their favorite Star Wars characters while being entertained by in-game features from a galaxy far, far away. Saturday's game also features a postgame team autograph session.

On Sunday, May 12, Kids Run the Bases after the 5:05pm game between the Bulls and Pigs, thanks to Pepsi. Sunday is also the second Papa's in the House Night, where fans can get 4 tickets, 4 bottled Pepsi products, and 2 Papa John's personal pizzas at the ballpark for $40 by showing a Papa John's receipt. Lehigh Valley's only visit of 2013 concludes on Monday, May 13 with a 1:05pm midweek matinee.
