Bonfire Labs has continued its expansion of key staff, adding veteran producers Stephanie Hornish and Mona Salma. Ms. Hornish joins Bonfire Labs as Senior Producer and Ms. Salma has joined the team as a Producer. Combined, the two bring almost 30 years of experience to Bonfires production team and world-class, award-winning talent.
Stephanie Hornish has an extensive background in film, television, animation and visual effects. She began her career at the storied (Colossal) Pictures as an Art Dept. assistant, where she thrived in live action production, cel, stop motion and CG animation. In 1999 Stephanie moved to Lucasfilms Industrial Light & Magic, where for the next 12 years she produced visual effects for many notable blockbuster films, including Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Indiana Jones (The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). After a brief hiatus, Stephanie returns to the production world, bringing her experience and skills to bear on a broader media landscape. She will be producing projects for all screens in her role as Senior Producer for Bonfire Labs.
Mona Salma has an extensive history in broadcast television commercials. She began her career at MacKenzie Cutler, a boutique editorial house in New York, as an editorial assistant in 2000 and quickly developed a love for the editorial process. Her years at MacKenzie Cutler schooled her on the world of advertising, and she has applied her skills on numerous award-winning advertisements and Superbowl spots. In 2011, Mona moved back to San Francisco, her hometown, and worked in a freelance producer role for Cut + Run SF and Venables Bell & Partners before landing at Bonfire Labs.
As we grow, were always looking for the right new talent to support the wide variety of new opportunities that keep coming our way, said Carey Crosby, Executive Producer, Bonfire Labs. Both Mona and Stephanie bring a wealth of production experience with both our bread and butter projects of visual design and live action, and the specialty projects that might involve visual effects or print assets. Not to mention, they are both funny and smart, maintaining relationships with our clients and keeping jobs on track with efficiency and humor. Thats important to us.
