Foreign trade volume hits 6.99 bln yuan in 05

According to Ningbo Customs, the foreign trade volume in 2015 dropped by 2.9 percent year-on-year to 623.99 billion Yuan ( equaling to 110.47 billion dollars). The trade decline rate was down 2.7% compared with the first nine months of 2015. An expert from Zhejiang Academy of Commerce said that it was quite difficult for Ningbo to maintain improvements in exports and imports despite a reduced surplus.

The foreign trade volume in 2015 dropped by 5.1% to 48.79 billion Yuan. In 2015, exports dropped 1.2 percent year-on-year to 443.66 billion yuan, while imports dropped 6.9 percent to 180.33 billion yuan. The decline rate of exports and imports in Ningbo is higher than the national level by 0.6% and 6.3% respectively. In 2015, the exports in Ningbo takes up 3.14% of the total foreign trade volume of China, up 0.02% year-on-year.

Ningbo's top 3 trading partners are still European Union, United States and ASEAN. The trading volume of United States increased by 4.1% while the decline rate of the trading volume with European Union and ASEAN are kept a balance. General trade is the main trading pattern in Ningbo's import & export market, which has generated 503.16 billion Yuan 2015, up 1.4%. The main exports were electro-mechanical products and labor-intensive products. Private enterprises took up a higher percentage in Ningbo's foreign trade market and increased by 4% when compared with the same period in 2014.

In 2015, Ningbo attached much importance to the transaction of the foreign trade. The exports volume of December topped 400 million USD, showing a sharp improvement in exports and imports . In the first 11 months, Ningbo generated 1.12 billion USD through outsourcing services, up 38.6% compared with the same period.
