InfoComm International has announced a comprehensive schedule of training events for the month, with highlights including a staging and events management seminar and interactive CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) training session.

FRIDAY JULY 8: InfoComm hands-on training day
Church House Conference Centre, Westminster
Free for InfoComm members + plus one (£30 for non-members)
A training day incorporating both InfoComm and manufacturer sessions, with input from partners Audio-Technica, Green Hippo, NEC Display Solutions and tvONE. Participants include Joe Cornwall, CTS-D, CTS-I, InfoComm Educator of the year 2014 of Legrand Data Communications who will be involved in three workshops: Making it Interactive,' Making it Look Great,' and Making it Robust and Dependable.'
In the manufacturer sessions, Audio-Technica will discuss how to capture and reproduce sounds with microphone and speaker systems and NEC will look at the benefits of laser projection technology. tvONE's workshop will explain how to set up a video wall in little time. The day will include drink breaks, lunch and a networking reception at the close of the day.
TUESDAY 12 JULY: Live streaming CTS study session
Online
£60 for members (£90 for non-members)
InfoComm's first live class online allowing students to attend form anywhere. The interactive session has been organised to help ease student worries ahead of the CTS exam, and give them the relevant knowledge to do the test. The session will be led by Andre LeJeune, CTS and former InfoComm Educator of the Year, with 35 years of staging and presentation experience.
Throughout the sessions students will be asked a number of questions online, allowing the session to be customised to the needs to the specific needs of the student and help identify areas they may need to focus on working on. It is recommended that students complete Essentials of AV Technology Online' before attending.
Topics will include:
The best strategies for analysing and answering multiple-choice test questions
How to focus your study time and areas to study
Additional drills and tips in AV math
A review of networking basics
WEDNESDAY 13-15 JULY: Staging and events management
Royal College of Physicians, London
£450 for members (£675 for non-members)
Andre LeJeune, CTS, revisits the role of AV in staging and events management as it continues to grow. Exploring the technical aspects of staging and events management, attendees will find out what it takes to manage shows, clients, venues and everything in between. The course is suited to those who manage, produce or are interested in developing technical knowledge of live events. It is recommended that students complete Essentials of AV Technology Online' before attending.
Topics will include:
Managing show departments, clients and venues
Understanding how the diverse parts of staging work together as a whole
Examining audio, lighting, and video systems in terms of technology and application
Learning how to analyse an infrastructure, including power, rigging and labour
Gaining project management skills and technical knowledge
