Netflix gives it all to Brazilian fans at CCXP with the worlds first screening of Rebel Moon, a new franchise from Zack Snyder

S o Paulo, December 2, 2023 - In a night that will go down in CCXP history, Netflix and Zack Snyder, presented the universe of Rebel Moon , the directors new epic adventure, to the public for the first time. In addition to Snyder, who made his big debut at CCXP, the films cast and producers Deborah Snyder, Eric Newmann and Wes Coller also took part in the panel at the Thunder Stage last Friday, December 1, for the world premiere screening of Rebel Moon - Part 1: A Child of Fire, which debuts December 22 on Netflix.

The long-awaited panel, hosted by Carol Moreira and Jo o Luis Pedrosa, began with the invasion of the dreaded Motherworld. After soldiers dominated the stage, the audience was transported straight to the planets and moons from the saga, such as Veldt and Neu-Wodi, as well as discovering the creatures and new heroes of the Rebel Moon universe! Snyder, the producers and cast, made up ofSofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, Staz Nair and E. Duffy, received a warm welcome from Brazilian fans, who reacted enthusiastically to the actors engaging with them. To the delight of the audience, Charlie Hunnam showed off his Brazil t-shirt under his costume, Ed Skrein made a triumphant entrance alongside soldiers from the Motherworld, while Staz Nair surprised the audience as he exclaimed "Thank you, family" in Portuguese.

Alongside the cast and other producers, Snyder shared exclusive details about the characters and their experiences on set. In a memorable high-point for fans, six lucky members of the audience got the opportunity to directly ask the actors questions. "For me, casting is a very important part of making a movie. I had very specific ideas of what I wanted for the characters. Its an incredible honor and privilege to work with these actors," commented Snyder, while Boutella praised her "badass" protagonist.

The panel closed out with the full screening ofRebel Moon - Part 1: A Girl of Fire, on the Thunder screen, which turned out to be an action-packed visual spectacle with special effects that left the audience spellbound. Rebel Moon is a love letter to science fiction, the director announced, as the audience erupted in applause. And he didnt stop there. At the end of the session, the audience (and cast) were treated to an as-yet unreleased trailer of the movies second part, also shown for the first time in Brazil, leaving high expectations for the release of Rebel Moon - Part 2: The Scargiver, which comes out on Netflix on April 19, 2024.

Its worth remembering that CCXP audiences have until Sunday, December 3, to explore the Rebel Moon universe through exclusive immersive experiences. Hyper-realistic replicas, interactions with creatures from the film, visits to the Providence bar and the unique opportunity to star in a customized Rebel Moon trailer-using state-of-the-art technology never before seen in the country-are just some of the experiences awaiting fans over the next few days.
