April 2018 - Unverbl mt und lustig und herzerw rmend, eine perfekt abgestimmte Mischung aus derber Albernheit und aufrichtigem Gef hl (Vanity Fair): Das TBS Original The Last O.G. hatte die reichweitenst rkste Premiere einer scripted Comedy im amerikanischen Kabelfernsehen seit 2015. TNT Comedy zeigt die zehn Zwanzigmin ter der ersten Staffel ab 7. Juni immer donnerstags ab 21 Uhr in Doppelfolgen als deutsche TV-Premiere.
Als der liebenswerte Kleindealer Tray (Tracy Morgan) nach 15 Jahren wegen guter F hrung aus dem Gef ngnis entlassen wird, ist nichts mehr beim Alten: Brooklyn ist zum hippen Viertel gentrifiziert, seine gro e Liebe Shay (Tiffany Haddish) hat einen erfolgreichen Wei en geheiratet - und ihm seinen Nachwuchs verheimlicht. Als er von den Zwillingen erf hrt, setzt er alles daran seine Kinder kennenzulernen, doch dazu soll er erst sein Leben in den Griff bekommen. Ohne Geld, ohne Job, aber umgeben von skurrilen Charakteren in einem Resozialisierungszentrum, muss Tray auf im Gef ngnis erworbene F higkeiten zur ckgreifen, um sich in dieser v llig ver nderten Welt zurechtzufinden.
The Last O.G. stammt aus der Feder von John Carcieri (Vice Principal) und Jordan Peele (Get Out). In weiteren Hauptrollen sind unter anderem Cedric the Entertainer (The Soul Man) als Leiter des Resozialisierungszentrums sowie Allen Maldonado (Black-ish) als Trays Cousin zu sehen. The Last O.G. ist eine Koproduktion von TBS, dem Comedysender von Turner in den USA und Turner International. Als Executive Producer fungieren neben Morgan, Carcieri und Peele Eric und Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men) sowie Joel Zadak von Principato Young (Key and Peele).
