
Schism in AMETIC La asamblea de AMETIC rechaza el cambio en sus estatutos, con el respaldo del 80% de los votos, lo que supone un rev s a las posibles aspiraciones de los principales operadores y empresas de telecomunicaciones.
A finales del a o pasado los gigantes de las telecomunicaciones abandonaron, por discrepancias con la gesti n del presidente Jos Manuel de Riva, la Asociaci n de Empresas de Electr nica, Tecnolog as de la Informaci n, Telecomunicaciones y Contenidos Digitales (AMETIC). Ahora, esta situaci n se ha hecho irreversible al rechazar la Asamblea General la posibilidad de reformar los estatutos para que el voto sea ponderado en funci n de las cuotas que abonan los asociados como ped an las grandes del sector.
La propuesta determinaba que las empresas de mayor aportaci n deber an contar, al menos, con el 50% de los votos de la Junta Directiva, lo que equivaldr a a que una veintena de empresas tuvieran el control de una Asociaci n con 300 Asociados directos y 4.500 indirectos.
Al tratarse de una modificaci n de Estatutos, la norma vigente exig a de una mayor a calificada del voto de la Asamblea General para llevarse a efecto, cosa que no ha ocurrido. Siendo as , AMETIC se seguir rigiendo por el sistema de una empresa un voto como tradicionalmente ha ocurrido desde su fundaci n hace m s de 40 a os.
El texto propuesto de nuevos Estatutos y Reglamento electoral que ha sido rechazado por la Asamblea, hab a sido redactado por los Asesores Legales de AMETIC, aseguran desde la patronal que hasta la fecha concentraba el 30% de la inversi n privada en I+D, conforme a la propuesta realizada por un grupo de empresas que han causado baja voluntaria en la Asociaci n con efectos 31 de diciembre de 2016.
Estas empresas propusieron a la Junta Directiva celebrada el pasado 12 de enero una serie de puntos, como condici n irrenunciable para volver a plantearse su reingreso en AMETIC, que quedaban recogidos en el referido texto y sobre cuya aceptaci n no se pronunci la Junta Directiva, dejando que fuera la Asamblea General quien lo hiciera.
El pasado 29 de noviembre, AMETIC convoc Asamblea Electoral, en la cual iba a ser reelegido Jos Manuel de Riva, ya que s lo concurr a su candidatura a la cita electoral. Llegado el momento, De Riva dio un paso atr s argumentando que en un ejercicio de responsabilidad, tras una profunda reflexi n, he decidido proceder a la retirada de la candidatura que encabezo, para dar opci n a que puedan concurrir otras que intenten conseguir el consenso entre los Asociados, a trav s del dialogo y la negociaci n .
De Riva que contaba con el 78% de apoyos de la Junta Directiva, tom esta sorprendente decisi n ante la negativa de una serie de empresas, casi todas del sector de las Telecomunicaciones, que se negaban a permanecer en el seno de la Asociaci n si continuaba como presidente.
La retirada de Jos Manuel de Riva s lo era un pretexto, lo que estas empresas pretend an era tomar el control absoluto de la Asociaci n. Una posibilidad que se les ha brindado sometiendo sus propuesta -en forma de una nueva redacci n de Estatutos- a la Asamblea General que ha optado por continuar con la democr tica formula de una empresa un voto', asegura AMETIC en un comunicado.
Ahora, ante un futuro incierto AMETIC ha convocado Asamblea Electoral para el 9 de marzo abriendo as el periodo para la elecci n de la nueva junta directiva.
