Mediaproxy debuts AI-powered monitoring - browser based m...

Mediaproxy, the global standard for software-based IP compliance monitoring and multiviewing solutions, will highlight major innovations in compliance monitoring at IBC 2026 (Stand 5.D74). These include the latest version of the LogServer analysis and logging platform, which now offers greater levels of intelligence and efficiency for live broadcast through AI, and the new Monwall Web interactive multiviewer.

LogServer is Mediaproxys flagship monitoring system, which has been constantly evolving since it was first introduced in 2001. New AI tools have been added to provide a disruptive set of features for monitoring. The capabilities now extend from ad-hoc intelligence and reporting to live monitoring and alerting. New features also include quality of experience monitoring (QoE) to completely reshape broadcast live monitoring workflows. Visitors to the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam will be able to see demonstrations of LogServer performing automated checks that would usually be carried out by human operators, who now have access to enhanced real-time event detection features for managing fast-moving broadcast situations.

Making its industry debut at IBC 2026 is Monwall Web, a browser-based version of Mediaproxys software-defined Monwall multiviewer. It has been designed for fast, flexible operation, enabling fully interactive monitoring of live broadcast mosaics. The ideal tool for observing the facility from home at low latency, Monwall Web also now includes audio output monitoring. To deliver the lowest possible latency across all platforms, Low-latency HLS (LL-HLS) and the new emerging Media over Quic (MoQ) protocol are now supported, making large-scale monitoring possible from any location.

Mediaproxy has also joined the open-source MXL (Media eXchange Layer) project to advance software-defined live production frameworks. By adopting this high-performance initiative, Mediaproxy will integrate ultra-low latency, in-memory media transport directly into its software-defined workflows.

We have been following the emergence of AI in our industry and its deployment for broadcast carefully and, after in-depth research for our target market, have begun to develop a set of tools that extend beyond traditional monitoring paradigms, comments Mediaproxys chief executive, Erik Otto. Monwall Web is also transforming remote monitoring. This interactive, browser-based application now also includes the firewall-friendly MoQ and LL-HLS low latency protocols. That, coupled with the ability to rewind live layouts, Mediaproxy continues to lead through innovations that reduce operational costs and maximize efficiency.
