NetApp Named a Leader in IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Scale-Out File-Based Storage 2012 Vendor Analysis Clustered Data ONTAP Recognized for Vision and Capabilities

Today, NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) announced that it has been named a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Scale-Out File-Based Storage 2012 Vendor Analysis (doc #238923, December 2012). The IDC study assessed the leading vendors in the storage market and analyzed each vendor's ability to provide appliance-based, scale-out file-based storage. According to IDC, scale-out architectures enable businesses to linearly scale capacity and performance independent of each other while keeping management simple and costs low.
