Oh, what a Valentine's day. So from what we could gather, Netflorist is not having the best of days. Based on the reactions from angry customers on Twitter, we've surmised that Netflorist:
Took hours to deliver packages today; many customers are still waiting.
Those who received their orders complained about parcels getting mixed up
The packages didn't warrant the cost as most flowers were wilted.
Netflorist admitted to several customers that it was their worst Valentine's Day yet and offered to either send the parcels out tomorrow or cancel the orders and refund.
However, a third option was also made available and clients weren't impressed: We wait and see if this pans out, if not, we can deal with it then. We have reached out to Netflorist for comment.
This is the respond I got from them 10mins ago. Useless pic.twitter.com/prowFrSesk
- Kgalalelo (@LeloM) February 14, 2019 Twitter was divided into three camps. Those who raged about their Valentine's Day deliveries, those who laughed heartily, and some offered advice.
Disgruntled customers The words rip off were used liberally (some swear words too) and customers demanded their money back.
@NetFlorist apparently this is what R979 of roses buys you. Complete rip off. Please refund me ASAP pic.twitter.com/DmpDoSRC0x
- Robert Franco (@RobertDrudge) February 14, 2019 Some customers thought that ordering in advance would beat the Valentine's Day rush but alas, they were wrong.
@NetFlorist @NetFlorist actually the order is still out for delivery .. how do i request my refund #netflorist #MensConfrence2019 #valentinesgay2019 pic.twitter.com/vHmTLX2P7X
- Sadiki Mjomba (@BBQspicesadiki) February 14, 2019 Yet others were disgusted by the state of flowers. Roses where wilted and bouquets did not resemble the pictures advertised on the Netflorist website.
Hey @NetFlorist what is this you sent my girlfriend!? This is no where near what I expected from you. Absolutely shocking service. Is this what your R600 of flowers get me? The dog box #netflorist #terribleservice you need to make this right! pic.twitter.com/ttd5eJE0yX
- Mayur Kara (@Mayur_Kara) February 14, 2019 @NetFlorist i stopped using this service when they delivered dead roses to my wife for her birthday and they called them Abracadabra Roses pic.twitter.com/awLQYleIoU
- Enough Axe (@AxeEnough) February 14, 2019 Hey @NetFlorist , bought flowers for my girlfriend and this is what you delivered to her ?
This looks like they are 3 days old .
This is not what I payed for. pic.twitter.com/qQITavK8jI
- Ex-Blesser ya Sarita (@KennyOPFC) February 14, 2019 Look what I received vs what the website sold and my friend from the States paid R449,95 plus delivery this shit @NetFlorist are scammers pic.twitter.com/qcqAixD20x
- IG: Serahlicious (@SerahLicious) February 14, 2019 Very bad as of today. Gift was supposed to be delivered at my wifes workplace. Till now the tracker says in transit. NetFlorist is in North Riding she works in Olivedale they could have even walked there
- Gerald Makedenge (@jazzysalvador2) February 14, 2019 Same boat, R600 for this pic.twitter.com/0fJBmcOPRR
- Jessica (@Jessica_Tshima) February 14, 2019 R676? For 12 almost dead roses? And babies that clearly have no breath? @NetFlorist this is totally taking the piss on #Valentines2019 Let's make them famous! pic.twitter.com/6clnppCXKw
- Tim (@TimLombard) February 14, 2019 @NetFlorist , it's 8PM and still no delivery! Also no feedback from your side. I do understand that you have tons of customers, but up the game with customer obsession. This is absolutely pathetic! Why do you advertise vday products if you cant even deliver on time?
- Ruan Bekker (@ruanbekker) February 14, 2019 #netflorist R599 plus delivery of R79. Please refund Order Number: 106233963 these flowers not worth the price @NetFlorist pic.twitter.com/WMxVuz0tg4
- Thandi Baleni-Mpofu (@ThandiBaleni) February 14, 2019 Words from the wise One user known only as Sure Kamhunga said that Netflorist definitely needs to do something about this, and added:
People trust their emotions with you, and you have failed some of your clients. A full refund is the best way to redeem. Not just apologise.
Another user, Sue, shared a peony for her thoughts and said: Next time, select a bunch of flowers yourself and have them couried/Ubered to the lady/man of your heart. Cheaper & better quality. OR better still hand them over in person unless she/he wants to impress the entire office with your display of love.
And some of the hilarity: We tried to hunt down the best tweet but there are so many. For more, take a peek at the #netflorist hashtag on Twitter.
Netflorist literally had ONE job today .
- Alexandria (@Lexsayy) February 14, 2019 Imagine you tried to ask forgiveness with dead flowers from Netflorist now she's angry more.
Next time y'all will use Gift vouchers.
- Mmamorogo Moses Mahlat i Jnr. (@Moses_Maibelo) February 14, 2019 White men outchea unhappy with Netflorist. Black men happily having a great time at #MenConference2019
- Thando (@ThandoIsLove) February 14, 2019 Wait why are you guys even buying flowers for R600 #netflorist
- Nomaziyane (@Phindiie_M) February 14, 2019 When I die I'd like for @NetFlorist employees to be the pallbearers at my funeral, so they can let me down one last time
- Tsek Nonke (@NonkeTsek) February 14, 2019 What @NetFlorist promise to deliver vs what they actually deliver pic.twitter.com/8Dv2BQUwOr
- Major 1 .Provovo (@OriginalQuefela) February 14, 2019 If you were one of the customers who had your day ruined by Netflorist today, here are some flowery riddles. We hope thistle cheer you up.
What do you get when you cross a parrot with a bee?
