BVE 2018 Preview: ATG Danmon 15th January 2018
Letchworth, Hertfordshire, January 15, 2018 - ATG Danmon will promote its full range of systems integration services on stand G39 at BVE 2018 in London's ExCel exhibition centre, February 27 March 1. These include consultancy, project planning, workflow design, system installation, testing and commissioning, documentation, training and technical support. Successful broadcast systems integration is about building relationships and long-term trust with customers so that they know we will support them over the full lifetime of a system, comments ATG Danmon Managing Director Russell Peirson-Hagger. We see ourselves in the role of a technology partner to our customers, rather than just a supplier. Maintaining those relationships means we are well positioned to modify or expand existing installations as each customer's business needs develop. We are also able to provide long-term maintenance and after-care services. We keep a constant watch on new trends to ensure that we deliver the best possible solution for each project requirement. Our customers face a wide range of operational and technical choices as they plan their business strategies for the future. The rapid rate of progress in the marketplace demands very clear thinking backed up by proven experience and an ability to design, deliver and commission systems based on the integration of the very latest technologies. These include hybrid SDI/IP infrastructures, cloud-based workflows and storage, and virtualisation. Working in close co-operation with our customers, we can ensure they make the correct technology decision to match current and future needs by turning their plans into practical and affordable solutions. We are also able to draw on the capabilities of partner companies within the Danmon Group to create solutions for every element of the programme chain. There has been a recent increase in demand for mobile production, not just in traditional OB vehicle construction but for flyaway systems that can be set up at practically any location. The operational possibilities increase with every passing year as technology moves forward. We have already supplied several portable systems, one of which is recording 4K raw video for a client who recognises that capturing at the highest possible production quality allows great flexibility in the use of the material. In addition to our role as an international systems integrator, ATG Danmon also promotes selected third-party products. These include the Ross Video portfolio of production equipment and the latest range of Telestream and Vidcheck file-based products for transcoding, automated quality control and correction of video and audio. We also promote Storage Network Solutions workflow defined storage packages and the Dalet Amberfin range of broadcast file management and transcoding tools. Recent months have proved busy for ATG Danmon including the latest in a series of technical upgrades for the London-based UK studios of Brazilian free-to-air commercial television broadcaster Record TV Network. Services provided include the re-design and wiring of the Record studio facility in addition to the installation of video routers, and signal conversion. A 4K mobile production vehicle was recently completed for Universal Music Group, following on from the 4K flyway system described above. Both projects centred on UMG's drive to open new opportunities for recording artists and songwriters through the development and production of film, TV, theatrical, live events and digital video. In the educational sector, ATG Danmon completed a relocation project for the University of the West of England (UWE). ATG Danmon mobilised a team to deconstruct and remove all the technical furniture and studio infrastructure before the old building was demolished. Careful management throughout the project ensured completion within the tight timescales required. About ATG Danmon Part of the Danmon Group (www.danmon.com), ATG Danmon has been at the forefront of the transition to the file-based technology now used throughout the industry. It has also assisted many clients in the construction of IT-based automated file workflow systems, high-definition studios, master control rooms and playout facilities, as well as the upgrade of existing SD systems to HD and UHD. By embracing tomorrow's technology, ATG Danmon delivers maximum value through close co-operation with suppliers and customers, leading to mutually beneficial long-term relationships. ATG Danmon also offers a comprehensive range of products and services including transcoding and automated workflow management, accelerated global file transfer, media workflow-design, project-planning, equipment installation, software-configuration, commissioning, documentation, on-site training plus ongoing support and maintenance. With offices in Asia, Denmark, Germany, the Middle East, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, the Danmon Group thinks globally and acts locally to support customers with its highly experienced sales and engineering teams.
