WRAL-TV and FOX 50 have both received multiple nods from the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Scienes (NATAS) with 38 nominations for the Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards.
WRAL-TV received 28 nominations for news, promotion and more, including the prestigious news excellence. While FOX 50 does not have a news department, their Creative Services team nabbed 10 nominations for their graphic and promotion work.
Also announced, WRAL-TV Anchor/Reporter David Crabtree will be honored with induction into the NATAS Silver Circle, which honors contributions to broadcasting over a quarter of a century. Crabtree will be inducted and the Emmy winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville on January 31, 2015. The event will mark the twenty-ninth presentation of the Mid-South Emmy Awards.
